Penguin Meaning and Messages

In this case, Penguin symbolism is reminding you that although things may seem chaotic right now, there is a definite order in this chaos. Thus it is essential to realize that by continually moving forward with your plans and dreams and handling each small piece as it comes up, you will see the light at the end of the tunnel. In other words, like the Dove totem, the Penguin meaning is letting you know that it is usually the most chaotic just before a big breakthrough happens.

Alternatively, Penguin symbolism is pointing out to you that you can adapt to any situation at any time. Just keep flexible and remain centered within yourself so that you can keep moving forward. Therefore you must believe that you have a good connection between the physical and the spiritual and that you will naturally know what to do next.

Penguin Totem, Spirit Animal

People with Penguin totem can create anything and everything they choose in life. They understand the concept of teamwork and utilize it regularly to get what they want. Folks with this spirit animal totem know precisely where they are going. Thus they also know what they are trying to accomplish at all times. People with this power animal, like the Angelfish, move smoothly between the physical and spiritual realms. Hence, they have a gift for Lucid Dreaming.

Furthermore, these people are polite, proper, and never forget their manners. They also enjoy cultural exchanges and high societal affairs. Many people with this spirit animal totem are diplomats and politicians.

Penguin Dream Interpretation

When you have a Penguin dream, it signifies that you are being weighed down by your emotions or by a negative situation. In other words, like the Frog dream, the vision is letting you know that you need to find a way to balance yourself and return to harmony within.

Alternatively, they can signify that your problems are not as severe as you may think. Thus this animal serves as a reminder for you to remain level-headed and stay grounded. You must trust and follow your inner instinct. When you have faith in yourself, you will know what you need to do to resolve the situation.

  1. I had a dream I saw a penguin in my parking lot moving frantically and I was afraid until I looked closer and it looked like it had something on its face. So I walked up to it and it started going wild again, so I backed up again, but I slowly got closer, because it fell to the ground it couldn’t breathe and I ripped plastic wrap or some kinda plastic off of his eyes and half of his beak, then he got up and stared at me in anticipation. It was just a small ring around the last part of his beak. I didn’t know what would happen if I took it off, so my heart was racing. I ended up pulling it off and it started squaking(not sure if penguins do that) and turning around in a circle flapping its wings, that freaked me out a bit I thought it was going to peck me or something then it ran toward me trying to hug my legs. It scared me a bit, but I eased into it, and leaned down and hugged it back.

  2. So I heard that if you ask for your spirit animal to reveal itself to you in your dreams it will and while skeptical I gave it a try. I’ve been going though a lot lately and really need some guidance. Last night I was tossing and Turing all night and when I finally fell asleep I had a dream about penguins. There were dozens of them but the ice where we were was melting so I led them all to safety to an area with more ice and at the edge was a perfect safe area for them to swim. While we were traveling I made a special connection with one of the momma penguins and when we finally reached where we were trying to go she gave me a high five…. idk I feel like this was a special dream.

  3. I had a dream that I had to use my energetic powers through my hands and eyes to hypnotize a murderous crazed penguin to leave. We locked eyes and I was able to do it, so this crazed penguin moved on and away, then came back to make sure I had the power to ward him off, and indeed I did.

  4. I had a dream in the morning. Me and the 2 penguins. I’m a penguin too. We are going to see the sea. Give the penguin baby to someone else. I mean we walk and finally see the sunset on the beach. I think we walk a lot. The last moment was the sunset on the beach.. I don’t remember after..

    1. This seems to represent that you need to adapt to the characteristics of a penguin since you’re a penguin yourself in the dream. In other words, to figure out your problems in life, you have to think a little bit like a penguin. Even if things are chaotic, make no sense and are confusing, trust that it will make sense in the end. Trust that the answers are out there, and whatever gets you even one step closer to the answers, even if it’s not all the way, go in that direction.

Imagine a red line tied to your finger that leads you all the way to the answers you desire. Think of this with more perspective. Instead of asking how things would be like tomorrow, a week from now, a month from now or even a year from now, ask how important or how bad these problems would be years from now. Would it still matter then?

See the end in mind of when everything is resolved, and follow the red line in the present of what actions you think need to be done to lead to that situation.

  5. I am busy house hunting and have become quite overwhelmed with it all. I took a rest and while sleeping I dreamt of hundreds of penguins flying home; in my dream I knew [reminded myself] they had little wings and could not fly but they made an action with their leg which meant they had perfect flight; so fluid, swift and steadfast; they had a sure flying process and I knew they would all arrive home safely according to their inbuilt compass.

    1. Since the penguins are flying and you’re worried if they can find their way home, perhaps this signifies how the situation isn’t as “heavy” as you think. Instead it’s so “light” a problem that these penguins can fly. Perhaps you can’t believe you can “fly to home safely,” but you can. You can handle this. You can do this. It’s much easier than it looks. You just have to take it one step at a time, and one day at a time. Don’t let everything overwhelm you. Divide everything you need to do step by step. Just as when someone has to walk through a narrow bridge high at the sky, just listen to do this. “Don’t look down.” Don’t look how high you can fall. Just go forward step by step. Don’t think about it. Just go.

  6. I had an experience at a time when I wasn’t coping with a situation affecting a family member. I was walking along the far end of the beach when I sensed something in the water moving at the same pace as me. I stopped, it stopped and started coming into shore. I noticed it was a Penguin. It came up to me and I picked it up, it pecked me on the cheek. I put it down and it swam back out to sea. It was the most surreal experience I have ever had and lifted my spirits so much. This was nearly 2years ago and I still can’t believe it happened

    1. This seems to represent how the way out of your situation will come someday, and that the light out of the tunnel is just up ahead.

  7. When I was young I had an imaginary penguin friend named Peter, and occasionally his two “cousins” Sally and Kelly would visit. It has been over a decade since I’ve even thought about them, but these last few days they have been on my mind constantly.
This article gave me a lot to think about, maybe even a reason why they were penguins in the first place!

  8. Had a dream that a flock of penguins flew from a far away field and flew over my head. It was delightful and joyous! Not really sure what it means!

    1. It seems to represent that you have to let go of unnecessary limits you have for yourself in life. You can even write down specific limits or rules you have for yourself that stops you from doing the goals you have, then ask if this is a real limit or is it just an imaginary limit?

  9. I just had a dream about my uncle who was a penguin in the form of foam bubbles. (Sounds weird but there’s a reason) he kept dissipating and falling onto the concrete. He was showing signs of being ill. I asked him to try and get up one more time and he said yes. He got up on his own, hugged me and I woke up balling my eyes out. I researched the meaning just now and the description of a penguin perfectly matched him. I’m still in shock at how big of a sign this was. I pray this isn’t bad news.

    1. I just sent him a penguin snow globe & a penguin Christmas card! His motto is “Live like a penguin”🐧

  10. Fatherhood isn’t always literal. The male emperor penguin goes months without eating surviving huge winter storms in the coldest place on earth balancing an egg on his toes. I’m a male massage therapist who just started his business and career in the cold cold north. This is a perfect masculine animal guide for a job that is all about nurturing and caring for others.

The aesthetic appearance is based lf their tuxedo-like look. It’s a more subtle lesson compared to more flamboyant animal guides but penguin is hinting at dressing to impress. And that first impressions are import.

  11. Sweet! I’ve just gained meaningful employment and am part of a team — “Penguins.” (Teams have bird names.) This information is very special and significant to that end. TY. <3

  12. I love the Internet. I believe guidance is sent to us constantly we just have to take the time to look and be open. I had certain animals that were reoccurringly coming to me in different ways and so I finally I asked myself, I wonder if animals hold certain symbols or meanings? All these meanings match up perfectly with other messages / signs around me at this time and other times these animals seem to pop up.

  13. I had a dream about a eagle, 3 buffaloes, a penguin, and a red fox although I feel like I’m forgetting one other animal. In the dream the eagle was protected and vouched for m. Wonder what it all means
