Robin Meaning and Messages
In this case, Robin symbolism signifies the stimulation of new growth and renewal in many areas of life. Thus Robin’s meaning teaches that you can make changes with joy, laughter, and a song in your heart. Similar to the Goldfinch, this spirit animal shows you how to ride the winds of passion within your heart. You will become independent and self-reliant through this change. The energy of this bird will teach you how to move forward with grace, tenacity, perseverance, and assertion.
In other words, Robin symbolism insists that you let go of personal dramas. Especially the things that no longer serve your higher purpose. Furthermore, Robin’s meaning compels you to exercise compassion and patience in mental, spiritual, and emotional areas. Thus, this creature will teach you how to incorporate new beginnings with faith and trust in the process. It is time to believe in yourself and use the inspiration that you receive. Listen carefully. It is time to sing your song for a new period in your life.

Thus their wisdom will be highly sought after by their peers.
Folks with this animal totem love music and will often have careers in music. They are known for their voices.

Robin Dream Interpretation
When you have a Robin dream it represents new beginnings. In other words, it is now time for growth. Thus you are feeling invigorated and inspired by the possibilities that are out there for you.
Alternatively, a robin dream can signify self-sacrifice. You must take the time to go inward and make sure that you are not giving up something you don’t have to.

Please don’t feed birds of any kind.. bread. Its not good for them.
I have 30 to 40 robins in my yard around 5-6ish pm. They just land in the yard and seem to only be eating. Obviously the fly around some to near by trees. Any true meaning in that
My Native Sister and I were on our way to a DC Pow Wow! as we crossed the street an onto the curb; I looked at how Beautiful DC has become. To my back was H st Corridor; as I put my foot down, my sister stopped me, in a twrell an down in one move I picked up the Sparrow and took it home. My sister fussed at me all the way home. I cleaned up the hampster cage; Prayed for it’s Healing, put it in the cage; to rest have some water and bread. When my sister and I returned from, the Pow Wow (4 hrs); I ran to see if the bird was ready to fly. I let him out of the cage and it flew away! Better then when I found it!
I move from my old place a few years later into MD. A Sparrow greeted me @ my prayer time. My reaction WOW AMAZING Birds!
Animals remember the Good you do for them, too!
I had a dream a few nights ago about a deceased loved one, then today(easter) I was outside In my garage i turned around to see a Robin on the door way looking at me, i told him that he had to stay outside cause he couldn’t come inside the garage. He flew away and then I went inside the house for awhile before having to come back out to the garage. When I went inside I discovered that the Robin got inside the garage and was stuck flying around inside. I tried telling the robin that he had to fly down and out the door but either he would fly around or when he did land he would just look at me. I ended up leaving the garage doors open while I went back inside. A few hours later I returned to check to see if he flew out and he did. At about 11:34pm I went outside to smoke before going to bed, when out of nowhere a robin flew out infront of me and scared be half to death!! Then he flew low to the ground, stopped looked at me and then just flew away…just trying to figure out what the meaning behind all this
I think the robin is a sign to stop smoking
Or end up in a trapped situation because of this habit.
It was stuck in a garage door scenario.
Also
Might have been a sign from your deceased friend passing on telling you they’re saved and gone to resting in peace. They are saved in Jesus.
Many people have strange instances of animals, weather, or items after dreaming about this deceased person or thinking of them.
Good luck.
My father passed away on the 12th of this month after a long battle with cancer, 15 days ago.
Today, my son and I were on our way to take my son to school late after his hospital appointment and we found an injured baby robin sat still on the road. It was clearly in shock and had blood on its beak. We walked for abou twenty minutes to the nearest vet with the robin sat calmly in my hands as I gave it Reiki, as I couldn’t get through to the RSPCA and have left out little friend with the vet. We were told that if the robin could be saved it would be taken to a bird sanctuary and that I can call the vet tomorrow to check up on it.
Though I know seeing a robin is a sign of a deceased loved one near by I am concerned that this isn’t the best omen, and pray the little bird will be ok.
Can anyone she’d light on the meaning of this please?
I lost my beloved brother 2 weeks ago, he had a massive heart attack at the age of 41.
He was doing something he loved dearly, fishing.
Something very strange happened to him a couple of weeks before he passed away.
He was night fishing at the very same lake.
He was asleep in the night inside his bivvy (tent) and had left a very small opening around 6 inches, he was awoken by something on his face, he brushed his face and discovered it was a robin.
The robin was calm and didn’t seem afraid, it then landed on his chest and settled there,
Two weeks later he passed away at the very same spot, he was alone and from what we know by the man who found him, didn’t seem to have struggled.
How bizarre regarding the robin!
Surely this was a sign.
Are robins normally active in the night? How did it find such a small opening in the tent? Why wasn’t it scared of him when he woke?
Would love some thoughts on this please.
2 years ago a red Robin with packed at my glass back doors and then it would go sit on gate. He would pack at my door and then go sit back on the gate. He did this continuously for 2 weeks. what does that mean
A flock of robins ion my property in the front yard everywhere what does that mean it’s the first time I have ever seen a robin in 24 years here
my common law husband just passed away. Before i had to appear in court a Red Robin came to visit and I won the first court hearing declaring me his wife in the state of Texas, then two days after the hearing his estrange daughter call the courts and said she was not notified. That next day i was sitting in the same place where my deceased husband would sit and looked up and there he was again just looking. Please tell me that I will when this court date again. Or does is mean something else.
Thanks
Sue
My husband passed away almost 3 months ago. I have been noticing Robins staring at me and not flying away when I would get close to them. Last night I saw a bird flying in front of my kitchen window (which is under a carport). I went outside and the Robin was sitting on my window sill. It just sat there. I went back in the house and it was still sitting there.
My late husband’s name is Rob.
I have also have had robins visit me since my husband passed away two years ago. I went on holiday recently and found a robin on the doorstep of where I was staying. When I got home I was greeted by a robin who came right up to my window.
Today 2 robins flew into my house and into my bedroom. My dog immediately started chasing the birds. I ran to open the windows for them to fly out. Unfortunately one of the birds flew out of my room and my dog caught it and killed it outside. The other bird managed to fly away, thank goodness.
What can this mean?
For the past 3 weeks or so…many robins have been following me and watching me from many different angles. I’m just curious on what it means, I’ve done research but I need clarification. Just today I was looking down on my phone walking home and I noticed a robin within 2 meters from me walking with me. Then I looked up and a person in all black was walking towards me but I didn’t pay them any mind until I started researching. After I read the robins and a good sign and what they can do for you I started focusing and the person walking towards me. And right when they noticed I was aware of them, that same person turned around very quick and walked down a street so fast. And when I reached that street it was like they vanished into thin air because i didn’t see them even though they turned back moment before I reached the same street. After they walked away at least 3-4 more robins were following me home like they needed to make sure I got there safe….what does this mean exactly???
So in the past year 2 robins have jumped inside my car (2 different cars i own) I jumped out to close a gate once and another time to check something both times the robin just chilled in my car no worries atall i could nearly jump in beside him and drive off but then today i had the strangest dream i woke up and there was robin in my lamp shade on my ceeling i quickly hid under my blanket and looked a few times the bird looked right at me and looked happy somehow and i hid agen fear it was gonna fly every where and i was about to open my window to let it out but when i looked agen it was gone it was only then I knew I was dreaming it felt so real it was crazy
Even though it is January and cold, the tree in the front of my building has filled up with Robins twice in the last week. Generally, Robins don’t show up in this area until end of February or March.
This past week I’ve had a robin try to get into my house via the back door, it’ll fly into the door then perch itself on the door handle, tapping its beak on the handle, glass pane and door itself as if it’s knocking to get in.
On Thursday me and my future husband are booking our destination wedding, and I think it’s my future husbands mum, she died in 2015, and I honestly think this is her coming to wish us the best in our future and to have a wonderful happy day.
Could I be right?!
The robbin itself is not the spirit, though it is there to let you know the spirit of a loved one is around.
If the ribbon is was that determind to get in yr house, then I would say the spirit was indeed visiting yr home, and that you most definitely right.
What a blessing
We had a Robin visit us in our cottage the day before we were moving from our old cottage into our new house. When Robins appear loved ones are near! I think it was my Auntie (our second mum😍) who died suddenly at 68 wishing us luck in our new house. Xx
I am an only child, a senior now and no family left, my ex-husband left me destitute for the next 5 life times. I am struggling every day emotionally, financially, and spirituality. I have had a couple of Robins make their nests in my back yard. They have their babies and leave. I have been trying to tell myself to figure a way out of this funk that even at an old age with no family I can have happiness and new growth in my life. A couple of weeks ago I noticed droppings by my front door. I had no clue how they really could have got there since I’ve nothing for a bird to land on. Well, 1 Robin seems to have made it her mission to protect me. She sleeps on my half-crescent wind chime. No nest – just hangs out out all night on sliver of wind chime. She has to be telling me something.
It’s never too late for a new beginning in life just thank the universe and all looking after you

I found my grandfather’s headstone today in Highgate Cemetery.
He died in 1929 and the whole area was overgrown.I cleared it as best I could without any tools.
A robin perched next to his headstone and returned several times.
My husband passed away July 18th, a Robin flew in and left a droppingon my husband’s chair where he sat everyday. I feel that he left me a message to say “it’s ok, move on. You’re young and I want you to be happy and have a song in your heart”
Blessings from the spirit world ❤️
That is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing your moment here! ❤️🧡 blessings on you and your grandpa!
This story and the replies are exactly what I’ve been looking for all day. I had the strangest experience yesterday and this is the first website I’ve found that had anything close to an explanation. If anyone has any further insight/opinions of my specific experience, I’d be most grateful.
Short backstory to help things make a little more sense…We have a little fenced area around our RV for our dogs… My spouse is working out of state at the moment, so lives in our RV. I drove in to visit him…
I took my dogs outside to do their doggies business and was reading a book on my phone. I look to my right and a little baby robin comes hopping up to me. I SWEAR it was speaking to me. It hopped up less than a foot from me and kept chirping so I started talking to it. My dogs run over and I tell them not to hurt it so they sniff and watch, but don’t try to hurt it.
I know you’re supposed to leave them be but I also didn’t want to leave it inside the fence and tempt my dogs either. So I put the dogs inside and got a pair of gloves.
I picked up the baby and talked to it very soothingly as I did. And it was okay with that, it didn’t get upset or anything. And I am watching the ground as I’m making sure I don’t step barefoot in any doggie doo that I hadn’t cleaned up yet…
I was looking down for no more than 30 seconds. I look up and it looks like a Robin since from The Birds. There are literally 30+ robins along the power line, fence, etc. All watching me and a couple freaking out. One (I’m guessing the Mother) started to dive bomb me. I shushed her and told her “I’m not hurting him, I’m moving him to safety”. And proceeded to walk looking down.
30 more seconds later and I have the baby outside the fenced area. Now a red-winged blackbird flies in and lights on the ground beside the baby. I and the Robins are all watching and the blackbird helps the baby into the tall grass. I continue to watch as I had no knowledge if this was setting the little guy up for being it’s lunch. But nothing happened. The blackbird just sat beside him for 10 minutes until most of the Robins had flown away and there was only myself and 3-5 left.
The blackbird flew away and one of the robins flew to the ground to assist the baby. I left them be at this point went about my day.
I’ve been researching and reading up on animal totems since. I’ve had a lot of things like this happen in my life, but nothing nearly this huge or amazing.
Any insight or opinions would be welcome. And thanks.
A robin in a cemetery has begun to fly to my hand. I didn’t train him, he just landed on my hand and took nuts before I had a chance to put them down. Today, he has flown onto my hand about 35 or 40 times back and forth, selected chopped nuts, stood on my fingers and looked at me smiling back and gone off to feed two speckled juveniles with their beaks open! Paradise and a privilege and keeps pigeons away from scoffing it all!
Hi I am having the same thing happened to me with a robin, it turns up when I open the door to the kitchen, when im working in the garden, sits on the kitchen table, food or not.
sits on my hand anytime and has been with me since my wife died 4 years ago, no fear and when talking to my friend in my garden, it still comes along, but the really strange thing on the way back from the hospital after my wife died a blackbird sat on my kitchen window sill tapping for two or three days, very odd
Every morning I sit in the garden and mediate for 20 minutes, I set a mediation timer that sounds with a gong after 20 minutes and to the second 5 seconds before the gong every morning a bird will sing a beautifully song and I can’t see because my eyes are closed, today I opened them straight away and in front of me was a robin just staring at me, then he flew off, it really stayed in my mind and intrigued me!!!!
Recently when I have been outside the same robin stares at me when I am with my guinea pigs. I feel like it may relate to the recent death of another guinea pig that I had. Maybe a guardian angel? My guinea pig reborn? Well I hope that somebody can find out the answer and help me out.
I have a robin tapping on my window every morning does it mean my mom is still here
Yes its spirit letting us know they are with us- encouraging us to go forward snd also the robin WANTS BREAKFAST!! mine tap my door every morning to tell me they want breakfast- and now one of them has started coming in to my camper and sitting with me.i lost my beloved boys – cats last year and im living outside house as cant bear it.i think its letying me know im not alone.it goes in top bunk and explores- and sits looking at me- it was the cats play area when we were on our adventures.
When a robin stares at you .. it means it is telling you something…Asking you to notice something. It wants you to be open to possibilities..
Recently you experienced death.. death of a guinea pig. Death is the doorway for new beginnings to flow into your life. It is a time for growth…Growth brings maturity with it.. The doorway is open in front of you .. the possibilities that are out there waiting for you.May be better life prospects.. a new & promising relationship.. anything and everything that existence/nature/God has for you…
All growth signifies a certain amount of self-sacrifice.So incorporate new beginnings with faith and trust in the process. All you have to do is make a wish ;trust your abilities & believe in the future.
It is also asking you to find contentment in all types of circumstances and find pleasure in the simple things in life. Its these simple things that makes our daily lives worthwhile.
Please explain to me this: I had a robin nest in my bushes next to my front door, laid 4 eggs. My neighbor called me to tell me one was in their yard a couple weeks ago. I went and brought it back and put it under the bush, 2 were in nest, which they barely fit now, and one was under bush where I put the one from the neighbors. Next day they were gone. I hear babies chirping out my bedroom window, there’s another nest. Tonight, I walk to sit on my porch, and there’s a juvenile robin sitting on the edge of my flower pot. It’s staring at me, after about a half hour, it lightly chirps about 5 times. My son comes home from work and it’s gone. I look out, and it’s back in the same spot. Sleeping on my flower pot. My brother was recently hit and killed in a motorcycle accident. Since that night, I have thought something wasn’t right with any of it. He wouldn’t have pulled out in front of a vehicle. I had an Indiana man, a biker friend of my brothers, tell me that the birds will come to me and help me put the puzzle together a couple weeks after his passing. I’m trying to figure it all out. I’m trying to get to the bottom of it, but I keep getting the run around and hitting dead ends. What is this little bird trying to tell me? Less than a week after he told me this, a mourning dove stayed here under my sons bedroom window and followed me throughout my yard watching me. It even watched the sunset with me and tried flying inside my house when I came in. And…….I’ve been feeding the lake swans since I moved to this house 3 years ago. Now I have a swan nest with eggs in my back yard. So this is 3 nests
Wow sarath.what a lovely msg.thank you.huge help.xx
I used to see the same robins every spring at my first house, and even saw them make a nest on my home only to rebuild the following year. When I recently moved I was sad to leave them behind but just a few weeks in , I keep seeing a robin if not the same one right in my yard and just yesterday he was with another female one. They got very close to my new house and puttered around for a long time and even perched on my new fence. They feel like the same ones but even if I’m crazy what does this mean ? Tot was like they wanted me to notice them . I’m so happy to see them.
About two weeks ago i walked out of our room and two robins where flying towards me!they turned right around and flew out the house .the night before I had dreamt of a pig he was clean and had a name , i was also feeding him ?
today as im walking out the same door way outside a magnificent robin once agin is flying towards me , we nearly collided!but he made a safe swifty u turn .what does this mean?
It means whatever you believe it means. To me it is threefold. At the cellular level of you, it means you have great energy, health and joy. At the wholeness of you (your full body reality) you will have more joy, money, whatever is important to you. At the macro level, humanity will realize they have been feeding pigs. Put their money in their own piggy banks. Utilize the pigs intelligence to help produce a better farm. Move into joy, safety, unity and prosperity.
This morning I was picking up someone’s trash can when a robin flew into me. Hit me around the shoulder/ribs as I was bending to get the can. The robin flew away after it hit me.
Coincidence? Perhaps. Does it mean anything?
I walked out onto my balcony today and found a dead robin
What could it mean?
Hi Yasmine. I know it’s 3 years since you wrote your post but can you remember if anything bad happened after you found the dead robin on your balcony?
I was just thinking about my deceased father, and I just laid out the window to have a cigarette and a robin was looking at me across the neighbor’s tree. I then looked back in my room looked outside and it then started to fly away.
I received two signs on Sunday, the 16th. A red robin walked across the road in front of my car from right to left as if he was using a bird crosswalk. I felt a little annoyed at the time. Couldn’t he just fly over the road? Immediately afterwards, I turned left and a solid red cardinal flew rapidly, horizontally from right to left in front of my windshield. OK! OK! I get it! The barriers are coming down. I will reach my goal successfully.
Monday, the 17th, I had a very smooth business transaction with no communication glitches. I allowed serendipity to give back to me. This fair weather Monday was so very kind to me! Someone hidden behind the scene is looking out for me.
The morning i had a robin flew into my kitchen it stayed for about 20mins it sat on top of my kettle staring at me while my 5month son was not far away on the ground playing what could this sign be????
In the last week I’ve had two Robin’s literally appear out of nowhere in my house. The first Robin was flying around my hall, I’ve no idea how it got in the house, it flew upstairs and I let it out the window and then this morning in our bedroom another Robin flew from around the bed, like magic appeared and started flying around the room, my partner let it out the window. Any ideas on why they would be in the house?
2 baby Robins (approx 5 days old) fell out of nest in my backyard after storm/wind. Long story short after mother did not come back and they were near death, I fed them and took care of them in my garage. As they grew, I would take them outside. The 1st one I found flew away after 15 days and never came back. The 2nd one would stay in front of my house and I would feed it during the day and it would fly to trees at night and I would go find it in the morning calling it back. After a couple days of this I found it hit by a car on the side of road in the morning and it had a broken leg and wing but still alive. Had to put it to rest. Really broke my heart. What if any meaning do they have in my life? Do their arrival and departure mean anything for me ? Thanks
Bless you, Kris. You are a deeply compassionate person. You also have good medical skills if you are able to keep two wild bird babies alive, a daunting task. Know that in the healing arts you will lose some patients despite the best training in the world. You might make a good veterinarian, zoo assistant if you are that good with animals and their care.
Today me and my partner went to view a house, as we were in the garden a robin flew on to the fence, then flew towards us and landed on the bird table that was in the garden, looked directly at me then flew back into the trees behind the house
We left the house and knew it was the right one for us & we’ve made an offer on the house
Could this be a sign of the house being the right one for us?
I left for a weekend to come to a nest on my front porch. At first I was going to have it removed. After reflecting on it, I figured this must be nature’s will. Glad I looked this up.
So, I just moved to my new home. I made an observation that widened my eyes. Here it is;
3 years ago I had finally got my stuff together in life and had saved enough money to move out on my own. When I moved, I went to a 1 Bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor. I started noticing Blue Jays would nest nearly all year long, right outside my bedroom. I was curious and did some research and found that the Blue Jay was a symbolism for deep insight and served for a redirection of life. This happened for me as I found more of myself and struck a gold mine of a job opportunity. I’m now moved to my newer, MUCH nicer 1 Bedroom apartment.. and about 10 minutes ago from me writing this, I’m laying on my couch on a Sunday watching TV and occasionally darting my eyes out to the beautifully relaxing view through the porch door, and I see 2 Robins. As you’ve read the description, I feel like it applies to my lifestyle currently. My work life and home life has both improved and balanced 10 fold. Each and every day it feels like a big breath to take in, but it also feels like once it’s all inhaled it will feel revitalizing. Felt like sharing that just now. Thanks!
In March, I woke up for a grad school interview asking God to show me a sign of it was the right path as a straight male going into an almost all female marriage and family therapy program.
Upon arriving at the campus sign, 2 orange robins landed.
I got accepted and might go.
What do you think?
Reese
About 2 weeks ago I was going through a somewhat difficult time in my personal life.
I was walking in front of my house and a Robin came flying out of nowhere and landed directly adjacent to me on the gate. Sat there singing gracefully.
This morning I was cleaning my room and I looked up at the window and there were at least 5 baby Robins perched upon my window pane. Today I was feeling sort of down as well
What does this mean?
Reese, positive changes are coming. When birds come to share your garden and home, they bring new opportunities with them. The robin’s joyful singing on the gate is heralding that doors will be opening for you. Robins bring their families to places where the energy is positive. They approve of your tidying up the house.
*Hi everyone! (:
If possible, could someone please tell me what this means??! (..I would really appreciate it!!..)
About a month ago, as I was leaving my neighborhood, a pair of birds (..I believe they were Robins..) were in flight, chasing each other and sadly, one of then flew right into my car’s windshield. I immediately burst into tears because I felt so bad and was just so saddened! I know it died because of how loud it sounded after it hit the glass, and to be sure, as I was driving back home, I had checked and saw it was indeed dead, in the middle of that side of the road, with its friend on the curb near it, looking confused & upset. This is the second time in about 6 months (..in my entire life!..)
that this has happened!!..
Just about every day, I almost always have a single or pair of birds (..again, I want to guess Robins, but driving & them being in mid-flight, makes it hard to positively identify them..), flying right in front of my car, almost to the point of being too close.
Does anyone know what this might mean or representation of it? Thanks in advance
This is the second year in a row that a robin has built a nest in my backyard, under my deck. This time they built a nest on top of the old nest. Is this a sign/omen? The first robin baby just hatched today 🙂
You are blessed, Andrea! And so is your home! New opportunities are coming your way.
I would love to know the symbolism for my situation. Yesterday there was a baby robin in front of my house, fluttering and squeaking on the sidewalk. My dad brought him in thinking he was hurt, but it turned out he was just a young baby who was for some reason unable to fly much. We found out he’d previously been in my friend’s yard across the street earlier in the day, and he’d left her yard after she tried to give him food and water. We figured he was the same bird we both encountered. After getting advice both online and from friends who know a lot about wildlife, we took him back outside. After some gentle urging, he did take a small flight across our yard, then back across the street to my same friend’s yard he started out in. We figured he was getting to know how to fly and would be okay. It was a chilly and rainy night, and this morning my mom was leaving to run errands when she once again found the bird in our yard. He was very listless and couldn’t even really stand let alone walk or fly. We took this as a sign that he just isn’t ready to be on his own for whatever reason, and we brought him in to try to help him regain his strength to see if we can get him more prepared to be out in the world. But it’s just strange that he kept coming back to us, and I would love to know what it could mean. He’s doing a bit better now actually, nowhere near where he should be but he seems slightly more bright eyed and not quite as near death as he certainly seemed. Thank you in advance.
Ok so I’m honing on a walk at night just to get some fresh air after an arguement with the spouse and on my way back a robin falls out of no where land right between my feet dead idk if it means anything but it really freaked me out anyone know if that might mean anything ??
Hi, my boyfriend recently left to go back to his ex but told me he was torn between us. I asked god at a point of total hopelessness that if my ex will return and we will be happy to send me a robin as a sign.
That very same day there was a robin in my front garden when I got home. He hasn’t left since. I think he may be living on my roof. Could this actually be my sign?
Recently I noticed a robin’s nest on my drain pipe on house. I’ve noticed the mom and dad interacting with their young. They sure do search for worms a lot, every time I go out their feeding, lol. One stares at time every time and won’t go to best when I’m watching but allows my daughter to watch them. I lost my dad 3 years ago, can this be him watching me?
I’ve recently had my own strange encounter with a Robin. Every morning for a week straight a Robin would sit at the window next to my garage, and fly into the glass repeatedly. It would only stop once I stopped looking at it, or walked away. The bird did let me record it, but it wouldn’t do it in front of anyone else.
Hi Naomi
Robins represent New Growth. If it were me, I would ask, Is new growth trying to get in but it keeps running into a barrier?
In other words, are you being called to grow in some area yet you are not allowing it? Robin will help you “sing your song”.
Blessings to you.
I believe I’ve found out what the robin was trying to tell me. I’m pregnant! It wasn’t a stork, but I still got the baby news.
Congratulations, Tori! New beginnings!
I have a robin that sits outside my window every day when I wash my dishes I look out and it’s there sitting on the wall there is also a baby robin that comes with it , every time I look out it’s there ,?
Hey Naomi
Evidently I clicked in the wrong area LOL.
See my comment for you above!

As I was walking today to my dentist for a normal checkup, I came across a tiny little robin (quite tiny) standing in the middle of the footpath. Luckily, I didn’t stamp on it because I had my eyes on the floor. I stopped to pick it up and try to put it back to its nest. I looked around but there were no trees anywhere. I tried to pick it up twice and each time it hopped from my hand to the ground. The third attempt it hopped and flew a little bit toward a doorstep not far from where I was standing. It stayed there and didn’t move and kept staring at me. I wasn’t sure what to do but I felt relieved as it was not hurt. I continued my walk praying to God to look after it, while same time thinking how strange this was to see such a tiny little bird not moving in the middle of a footpath. Do you think this was pure coincidence or is there a message behind it? Many Thanks 🙂
Most likely, Deanne, you just met a robin fledgling that had outgrown the nest. It is best to leave them on the ground where they are, waiting for parent bird to show up with a worm. They do not have all their flying skills yet. They freeze and stand really still, relying on camouflage. Pretend you don’t see them. That builds up trust and the birds come closer to you.
I had a dream that somebody gave me a robin in a cage and the next day in the afternoon I saw robin when I got home which reminded me of the dream. What does this mean?
It sounds like the robin you saw the next day, was reminding you to reconsider the message of the dream. This dream could be an indication that you have made too great a sacrifice for something, and the robin is given to you in a cage, to figuratively, “bring the message home” that your situation could lead to a loss of freedom, or loss of expression, if changes are not made. Robin is asking you to re-assess your current path and cease a sacrifice that does not serve your highest purpose, in order to achieve balance in your life.
I just moved into a new home and when I moved all I see is Red Robins everywhere so I know it’s a sign so I believe in God and I believe in my sign I just thank God for them I love the Red Robin’s I see the sit on my porch and see them everyday I wish upon them and I love them I love my blessings
Hi Madeline: Twice now a Robin flew toward me while walking and poked me in the back of my head. Then the bird flies up to the wires above and just sits there.
I’d love to know why this robin feels like doing this to me?
A fledgling robin landed in my hair on Friday!
Really would like to know what that means.
Kanika, you are favored.
Today was my birthday. I was sitting outside at work on a bench. When two robins flew down in front of me.
Happy Birthday, Emma, and happiness throughout the whole year! Robins bring joy!
This morning, as I walked my daughter to the school bus stop, I saw a robin in the road that had obviously hurt itself. I thought it was just a broken wing, so I picked it up. We gently petted it. All of a sudden, the robin closed its eyes and went limp in my hand. It had died. I’ve just recovered from breast cancer, have MS and recently broke 2 bones. You can see why I’m hoping this isn’t a sign of more to come…
The robin knew it was safe in your hands and would be able to make a safe passage. The robin passed from the physical body and when it crossed over, it gave you its spirit of new growth, new beginning and optimism. Also, the outlook of changing luck. I have some to realize animals sometimes leave the physical earth so they can give their heart and essence to you.
I know it sounds kind of odd but I am having trouble finding the words to describe it.
I hope my perspective helps to ease your pain.
I have found a double robins nest on my porch…they are joined together and have 3 birds in each…I know this is a good thing…I do know it is a sign…but of what is my question…I will preserve the nest when it’s empty and hang it on my wall…do you know what it means…I need to know!!!!
And your name is Melody? Wow! There is a Chinese symbol called “Double Happiness” to enhance love and marriage luck. Birds bring new opportunities and good messages, very positive energy to your home. Your nest is blessed.
I’ve just had a robin fly into my front room…what does that mean?😇
Melody, notice what a perfect picture of balance and harmony that is on the double nest with 3 (Trinity) on each side? It reminds me of a stringed instrument or double wedding rings.
A robin has a nest by my shed window please tell me the symbols of that?
Robin is bringing you good luck and happiness.
Three nights ago whilst eating dinner and looking out the window, this beautiful Robin danced around our back garden. Flying from one post to the other getting nearer and nearer to our window all the time just watching us. Felt at times it was staring right at me and into my soul.
It has come back each night since and I have put food out for it but it never eats. I love Robin’s but you hardly see them now.
I did speak to my grandmother the other day and asked why I never see her anymore (she has been dead 20yrs and so has my grandfather but I see him occasionally). I speak to them all the time and I know they listen. I wonder if it’s been sent to us?
Every time I’d go on a walk to clear mind, I’ve noticed robins following me everywhere I go. They’d follow close to me. This has been starting ever since I’ve had a recent dream about my future. It looked bright and clear, but the journey will be rough. I didn’t know what it meant until I stumbled upon this site. Now I finally understand, I get it.
I’m just curious to know what it may mean if a robin flew into my car ( I wasn’t parked in MTV driveway and reading the owners manual with the door open. It flew in and fluttered a bit ( probably after I let out a terrifying scream – shocked me ). Then just sat on the drivers side seat at the top. Had a small poop. I walked around to open the other door to let it out and it just flew out the way it came in.
Probably avoiding a hawk and knew you were trustworthy to protect it. Hawks typically hunt at 10am and the later at 2pm in the south where I live. Do you recall what time it happened?
Sometimes robins are just attracted to open areas that are unusual to them, like they are curious. Perhaps the movement of the manual had a hint of sunlight hit it and the robin was attracted to it. I came to this site because my father recently passed away and every night there has been a robin sitting on the NW corner of my garage roof (which is steep) and he is there way after 10:00pm and he is sitting there when I get up at 5:30 am in the morning. He also goes on top of my cuppala which is on top of the garage and poops on it and the roof and also on the lamppost. I have lived here for 25 years and have never experienced such a thing. Does anyone know what this means?
Obstacle in your life.
Tara, robin is a forward moving bird. The car is stopped, not moving forward. What direction is your life taking? Who is driving the car? You opened another door but the bird refused to go through it. It turned around and went out the way it came in. The correct path has been revealed to you. You know which direction to take.
For two days a robin has been flying into my window pane trying to get it my house. It won’t stop and does this for hours. What symbolism here?
When birds come to share your home and yard it is an excellent sign. They bring new opportunities. This is nest building time. They get confused by clear glass (especially second story level). Place reflective stickers or hang a long metallic streamer to alert birds of the window glass pane. Their eyesight is extraordinary! They see colors we don’t.
When we put in a new double paned E-gas window, the red cardinal sat in the nearby crepe myrtle tree and peered straight in at me for some time. He probably could see the gas. He was checking it out carefully from different angles.
This has been happening to me for the last two days as well! I told my friend this robin is trying to tell me something so I looked it up and alas my future is up for some change! Much needed but the challenges will be immense. I am looking forward…
Toni, robins are territorial in springtime. They are attacking their own reflections in the window glass. Soap the window, put up a window screen and that will break up the reflection. Remove the optical illusion. Your luck is fine because the robin likes your yard.
Left for work at 730, Robin was on the fence. Got home at 5:15, Robin appeared again on the fence. ☺ made my day
There was robin stuck in the font of the car and his feet were bleeding so I picked him up and let him fly away
Could someone tell me what this means?
I looked up through my window and noticed a robin there hovering, it made eye contact with me and seemed to look right at me for a few seconds, then flew off. I’m quite scared that this is a bad omen, but as it was a robin is it something positive like a sign from a lost loved one? Please help!
It is an excellent sign of new opportunities. I hope this Robin decides to nest on your property. It would be an honor. They are very picky about where to nest. The robin was checking out your property.
When we put in a new double paned E-gas window, the red cardinal sat in the nearby crepe myrtle tree and peered straight in at me for some time. He probably could see the gas. He was checking it out carefully from different angles even landed on the frame.
I watched our robin and our red cardinal fly sorties back and forth in front of a closed upper story window where a cat lay on the ledge inside my neighbor’s house.
They were checking the response of the cat to see how far it could move. The Robin is checking your response. Hmmm… what kind of a bird are you? This is a positive auspicious sign.
I see one almost every morning when I’m waiting for my bus to work, it pops out from the hedge to a block of flats at my stop, hops about the pavement and near the main road then as someone’s walking towards the bus stop it scurries back through the hedge
So this robin keeps flying into my bedroom window (closed) I flag it away & it’s pecking at bsmt window, again I shoo it away & now it’s at the other bsmt window. Sitting on sill & just staring at me…wth??? 2 days now….answers anyone? This is crazy!
I had one for 3 mornings do something similar – it’d flit against the window – I’d look outside, and then it looked at me from my little bedroom deck rail.
We have a robin exhibiting the same behavior, over 3 days at 3 different windows on 3 different sides of our house. Goes from a tree to a window, over and over. This morning for over an hour. Finally left when I went out to try to film it, but came back again later. Very odd. I live in northern Illinois. Where do u live?
ME TOO!!! going through many amazing life-changing experiences and it kept flying into the kitchen window and then the front window and i just knew it had a message for me. so here i am and i am so grateful to know what it is trying to tell me and has succeeded so now it is quiet…we’ll see 🙂 life is AWESOME!!!
I have the same feeling towards them they come to this tree that sits in front of my window.and just sit there looking at me.i seen one tbe other day and this red robbin was bird talking to me ot was so amazing.i recorded.what i coud💗😍😍
I live north of Seattle in Washington state. 🌲🌲🌲
Could be a lost love one visiting 🙂
On the second week everyday, the same thing.
Maybe her babies are inside x
Kerry, robins are territorial in Springtime. They are attacking their own reflections in the window glass. Soap the bedroom window, put up a suncatcher or window screen and that will break up the reflection. Consider white washing the basement windows. Remove the optical illusion. Your luck is fine because the robin likes your yard.
I was laying on my bed thinking about life when suddenly I felt the urge to look randomly out the window directly at the Robin who had been sitting on a wire all alone. I don’t know what caught my attention or why my eyes chose to look in that direction but it gave me hope. For my friend for 4 years decided to let me go after I confessed my love for them. I should have known better since they are already in a relationship but I can’t hold my emotions in because by doing that I’m only punishing myself. This load on my shoulder that was so heavy was now being put on them, because I only thought it seemed fair since they helped contribute to that load by sending me a false sense of hope by flirting with me sexually when we would get drunk together. And now they want to pretend like nothing ever happened, move on and forget the past, which may be easy for them since they never felt a thing for me in the first place. Now they want to call me out as being the desperate one and being the emotionally unstable one when all I ever did wrong was loving them and wanting to be a friend, sometimes more than a friend but I knew I never wanted to break a relationship up. So now my friend is gone, and I’m sitting here starring out the window at this Robin looking down on me. Love is so hard to come by, and then we have to let it go.
A robin got into my house i dont no how because all my windows
No fib. I had about 12 Robin’s in my tree yesterday. It was so beautiful and angelic. As we speak, five remain, a day later. We’ve been having some struggles with complacency in life. We’ve also been trying for another sweet baby for quite sometime. I also always associatedassociated robins with my grandmother who passed away almost 5 years ago. What do you think of this phenomenon?
I am surprised Leiah – robins are aggressively territorial. What a lovely image
A robin flew in front of my car yesterday. I think I killed it. I went out my back door so my son could play in the snow, there was a dead robin next to my door. Not like it had flown into the door, and it was under some water hose, I don’t think a cat left it…It’s got me a little freaked out. The bird symbolizes so much positive, what does it mean to kill one and then to find another dead?
Express your self positively to get what you want. Let them know how you feel.
-Robin
Was in my quotation box. Eerie. I’ve been struggling with a break up. Is this telling me to move on?
Over the last year I was experienced a breakup with a friend – heartbreaking, but something that allowed me to slough off hundreds of old, unnecessary patterns. And the theme? I kept seeing dead birds – on my front stoop, at my workplace, in my path. A major message metaphor for cycles, growth, rebirth, and an end to old ways.
A Robin flew into my house. I opened the door to see if it was raining. Never saw her fly in. My son walked into the living room and she spooked and flew across the room. He went over to the front door while I blocked her from flying back the other way. He opened the door and the screen wouldn’t stay open. He went to the other room to get something to chock it open. The screen door didn’t close all the way and the bird flew right out. Thankfully Unharmed.
A Robin just flew into my house, the dog barked at it once but did not try to chase it she just watched as I opened the window and it flew out.
I just had a Robyn fly into my windshield of my car as I was driving. It tumbled and died I’m assuming, I feel so bad. I was planning on leaving the country and going to university for psychiatric nursing. I put my stuff all in storage and I’m being a gypsy until I start school.
Earlier this week I just found out I’m pregnant and I’m panicking. I’m not prepared, I’m in debt already and I don’t want to be a mother right now. I’ve always wanted to be a mother but not like this and not alone. My loved ones will support me either way but are pro abortions. I don’t fully feel that way. It’s nice to have the options in certain cases, but I don’t know if I could live with myself afterwards. And I know I couldn’t just give it away like it was nothing…
Krystal, I too just found out that I am pregnant and although I was unsure of keeping it at first, I have decided to. I have also always wanted to be a mother, but this was unplanned and unexpected for this moment in my life. Outside briefly today, a Robin and I had a moment of silence staring at each other. I knew when it did not fly off that it had come to me with a message. Know that whatever choice you make, it will work out for the best. Weigh your options and do what is best for you. I’m sure If you decide to keep it, it would be the happiest choice you’ve ever made for yourself. I look forward to new beginnings as the Robin has told me to find the joy in it. I hope you do too.
Crystal accepting your situation will the gift of compassion you give yourself and baby…Congratulations!!!
Wil be…😞
Unplanned pregnancy is unsettling but an abortion is worse. Your life will still be good with a baby actually it will be better. That is a person that is growing inside of you and depending on you for life. You can do this you really can. Your baby will give you the strength you need to navigate in this world. You will surprise yourself with what you’re able to accomplish with a baby much more than doing it alone.
I had a dream the my dog killed 2 red robins in my home and then a baby piglet was running around the house
I need help on this one, as it’s very strange this was a dream of myself and mother working in the garden.
I noticed a Robin had landed on my mum and was happy to see it close. It then flew over and landed on my arm, however after 30 seconds I was starting to worry as it wouldn’t fly off.
Then after trying to shew it away I noticed a large stinger (like a bee/wasp) coming out of its tail and it looked like it was getting ready to sting me.. 🙁
Trying to brush it off my arm and it still wouldn’t leave and clung on whatever I did….any ideas what this dream could mean??
Hi mike
Can I ask you something , how’s your relation with mom ? Is there somthing in the way right now ?
I was just having a moment of crushing frustration with myself; I’ve been stressed about my husband finding a new job and moving my family to a new state and I think that stress has made my brain fuzzy. Anyway, I just missed a dentist appointment (for the second time) and my dog was out of her fence barking at a neighbor. I was frantically looking around for nails to fix the fence where she escaped and I looked out my kitchen window to see 50-100 robins rooting for bugs in my front yard. It caught my breath because I’ve never noticed them do this before (I’ve lived in this house for 4 years). With upcoming change in my life I find this a powerful symbol. I’m thankful for these robins and their message to walk forward with patience and compassion.
Dreamed of robins last night by the base of a tree outside my window. There was a group of 3 or 4, and one bird that looked similar but with different coloring. In the dream i was running to get a bird book or something to try to identify them…or maybe q camera. When i came back, they were gone.
A bird stood in front of my car as I was leaving the parking lot at work. He never moved no matter How close I got with my car. I had to back the car and left from another exit.
what does this mean
Hi Jeanna
I’m going to assume this bird was a Robyn, seeing were under that category, such a experience stands for a time of growth upcoming and new beginnings, also this new time may require some self sacrifice in order to get things moving along ..
This is the time to strive towards things you may have been putting off in the past and finally make that move to allow things to happen
Best wishes
Hey,I’ve been seeing all kinds of birds for 2weeks now from three white doves visting me for three days,to the black robin with a red chest visiting me twice daily for a whole week now till they came two of them and I have not spotted them again,to three blue yellow chested chirping so loud at a tree outside my house yellow birds with dark streaky feathers with black red orange beaks flying in front of me playing with me to follow them round my grandpas garden its really spooking me still trying to meditate on them one by one.
I had a robin visit me after a relationship ended. He or another robin continued to visit me after I moved to London alone and into a flat. He didn’t stay long but I’d soon met someone, had loads of fun, got pregnant and moved back to my previous town and house to have our baby. No robin until today nearly 5 years later. And today my boyfriend and father of child admitted our relationship was over.
I feel it’s a sign.
Robin is my favorite bird. Like the daffodil, they survive the harshest weather. In spite of trials, they remain beautiful, steadfast on their heralding message of hope and peace. Consider your Robin to be sent directly from GOD to you, reminding you to be of good cheer, for He careth for you and yours.
A certain robin has been hanging around our yard since early spring. It would sit in our redbud tree for a long time and come and go.
Now I just remembered looking up info on a Blessed Mothers statue in the window which we had in my home growing up and I have the same one in my kitchen window and something was said about a robin also. Now this same robin may be the one nesting over our carriage light near our front door.
A robbin flew into my work place I work in a beauty day spa. I saw it walking in like a customer just looking around and hopping and flying casually around lol I was telling it to go outside then it started following me. And I showed it the way out the back door it was scared but brave and so cute the way it looks at you was like a friend. 🙂 🙂
Hi Louisa! What a coincidence, yesterday a Robin flew in to my office, I work in a music conservatory… he stayed for a long time, obviously he was trying to leave!
Best wishes,
I’ve always liked robins such a lovely little bird there’s one who’s alway in my back garden when I go out there sits on the fence and looks et me its mad but every time I go out I c them just get that feeling he’s following me
I saw a robin in the neighbours tree today, Christmas, and it is snowing! It was amazing. I live in Utah.
Hi I seen red breast robin I have been trying to decide on a move buying new house cause the one I’m leaving is my mams which have pass so it’s got me thinking shall I stay or move
Hi Julie
It’s time to move ,, the Robyn stands for new beginnings and growth ,, I don’t think there would be a better sign to take the shot and make it happen. It also stands for self sacrifice so when the time comes don’t be afraid to give a little to get what you want ,, but don’t take less then 160000 lol
Cheers
I had my front door open. A robin flew into my house. It perched on just about everything it landed on. I had a hard time getting this singing little bird back outside. Once I did get it back outside it landed on a window ledge outside & kept tapping on the window with his beak as if he was asking to come back inside. Not safe for him as I have 2 dogs & a cat. I would like to know what this means, what the significance of this is. If any one knows. Please let me know.
Don’t want to spook u but if a bird f lys in your house it’s a bad sigh don’t know about a robin
This is only one interpretation Joe. There are many symbolic meanings for a bird flying into a house. The health and appearance of both the bird And the house come into it, as well as what a person needs an answer for…
There is no such thing as a “bad sign” in spirit, all symbols take the meaning we give to it.
Glad to read this as I read about a superstition that it meant a death in the house and it got me really worried.
I’ve started working at a zoo recently and I first noticed a Robin following me around and enclosure on my second day. That was 3 weeks ago and I’ve seen him every day since. The day before last he was following me so closely that he was behind my heel on my foot, and came up to me when I knelt on the floor. I saw him again this morning trying to see what was going on, I hope he brings me luck.
I believe he has brought you luck. Just the fact that such a special mystical creature has been communicating with you is a pure divine blessing and a symbol of the Universes love for YOU. 🙏🏽😍
It is the middle of October in Wyoming. The last 3 mornings when I have gotten my car out of the garage a Robin has been sitting by the tree that is close to the driveway. It does not move just sits there. For 2 mornings there has been a Robin. On the 3rd morning there were 2 of them sitting out there. It is very strange to see Robin’s this time of year. Mostly you will see them in the spring.
I had my 1st robin experience yesterday
I have dreams about robin flights to my face like is going inside my body and after I wake up going back to sleep and the same dream start again. Dream is not frightening but strange. Please if anyone knows what mean that dream. Thanks
As I was working in the back garden today, a robin never left my side. It followed me all the way round. I stopped many times to speak to it, & it came really close to me, sitting chirping away quietly on the fence, then down inches away from me. For some strange reason, I felt a real bond with the little guy. I took bread out of the freezer, & made him some toast ha! I wondered if this was some sign of something. It was a lovely experience.
Whay a beautiful message for me. Last night we found a baby robin who fell from it’s nest. Mom and dad were so worried and vocal. We put the nestling in a makeshift nest in a box and contacted the wildlife rehab.
Bc of predators and stress we brought the baby inside and put him in a dark quiet spot in my room.
This morning a whole slew of birds came to see tje baby..**a baby bird shower ?hubby and I used a dry planter to fix to the tree, placed the baby in it and hung it high enough. 10 minutes later the parents flew in to feed it. YAY
The parents came to me to thank me with a nod and a beak full of food and flew in to feed the baby.
Perfect!
Grateful for the thx and happy it survived.

Every since I’ve been writing letters to my angels, I’ve noticed 3 robins flying around me chirping and messing with my dogs(1 red and 2 brown). Are they my angel’s representatives? Are they my totems? How do I acknowledge them?
Hello Dena, you say you write letters to Angels. How do you do this please. Iwould love to know. Regards Toni x
Hi Dena
Robyn’s are a sign of new beginnings and growth also self a
Sacrifice, do you practice meditation at all? Angels are just that and they present as Angels ,, they have no representatives as such in the way I think you are asking but gives signs that your being heard ,, you can get much more communication and clearer answers to the things you are asking if you can open up to meditation. We can’t control our dreams most of the time but we can direct a topic in mediation.. All that you have just asked can be answered through meditation, you spirit guides ,angles and much more will come through in this higher state..if your just starting with meditation try guided it’s much easier for the beginner..
Hope this helps .
No can tell you quite as accurately as your own intuition and soul what your Robin means.
A robin twice this morning came and Sat on my railing with a worm in its mouth
What does this mean?
My daughter is very upset a robin has just flown into her patio door and killed itself what does this mean please
Sorry to hear that. It helps to put colorful stickers on glass so birds don’t fly into them. The Robin probably thought she could just fly on through. An unfortunate accident.
What does it mean if a robin sat on the windshield of my car and road on my car all the way to work with me flew away as soon as I got to work?
Due to the force exerted onto the windshield by the air as you drove, the robin would have been held in place and physically unable to move until you stopped.
When ever I am in my garden, a Robin will always land on the grass and stare at me, as well, every place I have lived, Robins have always made their nest in my garden. I also had a dream that I was speaking to a Robin and it was speaking back to me. I see them alot, and have even helped to bring back a lost baby Robin to its mother. I am wondering if it is my spirit animal?
Today, all day Robins have been in my backyard. When I go out some will fly away but at leat one will stay. I’ve counted up to 15 at one time. I couldn’t help but think this was of some importance. Does this mEan anything?
recently my nan died. her husband died a while ago but at her house she always had a robin. he used to come inside at times. now that she has died i now have a robin at my house. but just today i had 2. i knew who they were. it was them. they were making sue im still okay, checking up on me. the birds stayed for a while singing and churping away making the day a better place!
I have seen the most beautiful dark purple robin in my back yard for the past 3 years. I only saw him once the first year, a few times last year, and this spring he seems to be around every time I am outside. He even flew in front of the big picture window upstairs while I was looking out. He turned mid flight to look at me. I had been thinking that all young robins must be dark purple, but couldn’t find anything to support this. I just feel so drawn to him. While searching for “purple robins” I stumbled onto this page, and the synchronicity of the purple highlights of text and corresponding resonance with the message could not be more clear. Thank you for this informative article. How wonderful and magical life is!
I had a vision of a robin in a dream. He was standing tall and proud. As he shook his feathers and tail, he shook out branches, as extensions to his wings and tail, full of lovely small leaves. Wonder of wonders, the first band of leaves was red, the outer band was yellow leaves. Each leaf was a small oval/heart shape.T his dream appeared on June 20. The timing I know is significant. I welcome others interpretations.
Red and yellow are the first two chakras, and robins symbolise new beginnings… I feel this could be a message about shedding leaves, to bring in the new… to let go of the old so you can reveal who you truly are in the now … to reveal your passions…
Red the colour of blood, life force and yellow the colour of abundance and sun… happiness, sounds like you are ready for a higher version you to now be fully embodied…. go Goddess 😀 xx
Hi Everyone, Today morning my husband, son (two year old who snicked in our bed) and i were sleeping and out of nowhere a Robin flew right through our bedroom door! we live in a basement so we gave no windows and our door was locked. it was such a nice experience because we all running around trying to catch it to set it free. our son loves pokemon so he kept on calling it a pokemon lol i do believe it was meant to be because my husband and i had gotten into a bad argument last night,
im also scared because everywhere i read it says birds inside homes mean death??? anyone find that to` be truth? ❓
Got a chuckle out of that cute little one calling the Robin a Pokémon lol so cute!
I have a robin that has been visiting for the last 2 weeks. It pecks at every window all the way around the house all day long.
Can anyone tell me what it symbolizes when a WHITE robin comes into your life? There is one living near my home that I see almost every day now.
I’ve had a few experiences with birds, in one home I had a woodpecker make a hole in the bedroom window and one night flew in the house . I picked him up with bare hands and.let.him go outside. My husband was shocked due to their beaks and talons, but he was extremely calm. This happened in two home in Utah and one in Wyo. Now for two weeks I have had a Robin tap on the kitchen window and the bathroom window in my bedroom. I can walk up to the window and tap the glass and it will stay for awhile before flying off. It does this all day now and I don’t know what it needs or wamts. Any ideas?
You could put a little food on the sill, it might be asking you for some? I’ve been putting out oats and the Robbins love them. Worth a try. Lovely to be able to get so close to them, enjoy!
I had a Robin fly into my window………Saw its reflection……….I put different things on the window ………Now I don’t worry about the Robin breaking its neck………good luck
When my beds (all sorts) peck on my window they want me to put out bread crumbs. That’s every morning between 7 and 8.
😕 Hello……..Not sure where i begin ……But i consider myself more spiritual then religious !!! Though i do believe in God, and believe there is only one. I have had different signs in what i believe are my “Guardian Angels”…………The first time which is now quite a few years ago is when i found my next door neighbor dead. Yes of course i seen dead people in their coffins many times in my life…….But have never seen actual death with the eyes open. it had impacted me so much, i could not sleep for weeks and anything i heard dropping on a table would startle me and i felt as if my heart was in my mouth and racing uncontrollably. Now my doctor gave me a medication to help me relax and help with sleep. To no avail it did not help. I remember praying and asking God to close my eyes to sleep. Bent down one morning and as i stood there were the most beautiful twinkling bright white lights all around me………Front, back, sides 🙂 I just recall an inner voice saying …….Close your eyes Terry and Sleep, do no touch what you have seen ………I’am real and just believe !!! Wow, Wow, Wow………….I did close my eyes and finally slept that day.. Now i had never wrote poetry in my life, but i felt i needed to write about my experience…….Many Angel poems followed after that :)……I had the same bright lights throughout the years……protecting me when my boyfriend went to crap my throat……….The lights appeared all around me and he slipped and fell……..letting me escape without harm. Now it is the year “2016” Have not seen my twinkling white light beautiful angels for almost a year now though 🙁 But just this past November 2015………I have been visited by this most beautiful robin ……..For some reason he seems to know me ………and for some reason i seem to know him as well. At first i thought nothing of it………Actually my mother noticed him first…….She said Terry there is a robin just sitting on our wall…….for hours as if he is waiting for someone. Once i finally seen him…….I call him a he………and call him ” Soldier Boy”……….He seems to love me for some reason, my belief is God sent me my ”
Guardian Angel” in a different form this time 🙂 He comes when i call him, and always appears in the most mysterious ways. I sit in patio chair since the climate has been so unseasonable warm in Pittsburgh this Winter. And have found myself so much more in tuned to the the sounds and beauty all around me…….since my “Soldier Boy (Robin)” appeared. He leaves me his underbelly white feathers……….I noticed the first a couple weeks ago, just jumped at me and i knew it was his so i picked it up and saved it……Now just yesterday 3/2/2016, walked out my door and noticed another feather at exactly the same place i found the first……Yes i knew it was from him 🙂 He is not afraid of my feral cats we take care of, so it seems…….Actually he swoops down to eat in close proximity to my cats and they seem as if they do not see him. Well i could go on and on and tell you so much more because ”
Soldier Boy” shows me signs almost everyday that he is not just a bird but is a angel !!!!
The light protects you from harm, by guiding you to safety when you need it, each and every time you do. The robin teaches you to become aware of what is around you, that you have love around you that is a part of your life, is always there. Soldier Boy doesn’t work alone, that love will take any form, so that no matter where you are in the world, it will always remain a part of your life and is there for you every second of it.
Answers to prayers, take form in a way that can be understood and in a voice that speaks to you.
A bird (robin) jus flew my kitchen windowi freaked out and shut myself in my corridor i went to my neighbour and she helped me it flew around my front room than we opend all windows and flew out i really dont know what that means. Also i phoned my aunti as she is spiritual and she said oh no thats not good…??? a week ago a robin say on fence outside my front room window x :???
I haven’t thought much about robins until today. As I sat in my office at work, I heard a rather loud thud; a bird flew into the glass window and was siting outside the window stunned. I was afraid that the poor little guy was going to try to take off while disoriented and smack into the window again. I grabbed a couple paper towels and headed outside. I approached slowly and saw he was moving a little. I reached over with the paper towels and gently moved him on to the sidewalk. He just stood there. I reached down without the towels and started to pet him. He fluttered a little as I placed my hand under him, and he stepped on flapping his wings once. Then he settled in and just sat on my hand. I stroked him with my other hand, talked to him softly, sent him healing energy, and then took his photo. I then gently set him in some grass, further away from the window to make doubly sure he would have a clear path to take off. When I went out a little later, he was gone. I only found out after getting home that the bird I helped was a male robin. What a sweet little guy he was. I’m so glad I came across this site to read about his symbolism.
I’ve had the same wee robin visit my garden since spring, I’ve heard that spirits use robins , this morning l was in my garden shed, it was raining quite heavey so l sat in the shed till it lightened up, l saw the little robin sit in a nearby tree looking at me, l asked it who are you, l then asked it if you are my dad fly on to the grass or go to another tree, show me a sign, l couldn’t believed it, the robin flew onto the grass and tree that l had in my minds eye, the thing is it was raining and the tree he went to had no cover,he sat there looking at me puffing his chest then went back to tree with cover, what are the chances of that actually happening, l believe now.??
I had left back door open this morning when i went back upstairs with cup of tea. Whilst sat on bed a robin flew in bedroom door and landed on my head. He then flew onto window sill. I opened window for him and moved the blinds. He then after a couple of circuits of the room flew onto wardrobe had a good look around for a while before then flying out of the window. He did not seem scared.
I have heard that a Robin in the house means death????
I have had a lot of family personal heartache over the last two & a half years which reached a pinnacle a month ago, this left me in such a depressed state that I couldn’t get out of the black hole I was in, I had no answer to the “Why” going round in my head, persecuting myself for the situation I was in and feeling that life was just not worth living any more, whilst sitting in my garden with all these thoughts a baby Robin came and sat at my feet then moved to the arm of my chair – just staring right at me which seemed for absolute ages. I moved out of my chair and he stayed put – it was so unreal, as if he was trying to tell me something. Over the days he came closer and closer to my back door then last week I found him in my kitchen sitting on the mat at my back door, I decided to try and feed him by hand inside my kitchen….a few days later he was feeding not only out of my hand but whilst sitting in the palm of my hand, he is my first visitor every morning and my last every night, whenever I’m in the garden he is by my side – only disappearing for half an hour then he’s back again – he is truly my little guardian angel – my reason for living and believing in myself.
Last week I had to make the difficult decision to hospitalized my sick aunt who’s name is coincidentally robin. She had lung cancer and was really suffering at home. I decided to call 911 and get her the help she needed as I’m not sure she was thinking clearly and able to help herself. Immediately after I hung up the phone, I went to my back kitchen window and just stood their contemplating what I had done. Did I make the right decision, would my aunt be angry with me for placing her In the hospital to die. As these thoughts were bouncing through my head the most beautiful red robin landed in my yard, and I swear stared at me through the window. I felt like it was a sign from either my aunt or the Lord himself that everything was ok. That I had chosen the right path. That was wednesday, my aunt Robin died Saturday in the hospital, surrounded by those that loved her the most, and most importantly in comfort. I feel the robin was a sign, of changes to come, of tough decisions, of the end of one journey and the start of another. Forevermore, when I see a robin, I will think and cherish the memories of my aunt Robin. Thank you magical bird and who ever sent you to my back yard when I needed you most.
My dear father passed away yesterday. When his father, my grandfather, passed away he told me he had been visited by a Robin a few days afterward. He had been gardening and turned around to see a Robin sitting on the handle of his spade. It stayed a while and my father was convinced that it was a sign that my grandfather was watching over him and telling him he loved him.
Today, I don’t know whether it was guidance , but I feel sure it was, I visited the church where my Mum and Dad were married, and I baptised.
I sat in a wonderful little garden at the rear of the church “the garden of Hope” just thinking about my Dad.
As I sat on the bench in the garden, I was suddenly aware of something to my left.
I turned to see a beautiful little Robin on the arm of the bench! A feeling of absolute awe came over me, even when I moved closer, to within a foot of him…he didn’t flinch! I too am convinced that this was sent by my Dad to give me the same message…. I’m watching and protecting and love you son!
I had my camera with me and I got within 6 inches to take a beautiful picture of him.
Even the sound if the camera shutter did not alarm him!
Only when I said “I love you too Dad” did he depart!
I was in the back yard about to plant tomatoes when a robin flew up to me and hovered in the air a few feet in front of my face looking directly at me. It felt like 5 seconds or so, but time kind of stood still so I can’t be sure. It was crazy!! It was soo close to me too, much closer than birds usually get to humans.
I just kindof stood there in awe and watched him flit around a bit before he disappeared. It was very enchanting and felt somehow important. It made me feel strong happiness.
Hi Tei, My Mother loved Robins, she was an avid gardener and when her Dad passed she told me every time she picked up a spade a Robin would land on it.Recently Ive been going through some great loss and financial burdens, I was on my way home last week and saw a little one and I swear the fella was flying along with me…my Mam passed ten years ago and I have always been looking for a sign she is with me. Now I think about the times Ive seen the little guys, including my back garden and know shes telling me everythings going to be ok. I have no idea why I googled Robins tonight, maybe I do now.
Today I was making wedding stuff, and I happened to look into my kitchen an there was sitting a robin who had flown into my house, our wedding theme is Cinderella my daughters fav films and she passed away 2 years ago aged 4. Like to think it was her, as I was making the things I was thinking of her. And new I hope it dose mean new begnings as we’ve been trying to get pregnant and can’t.
Be sure to have let go of the pain from your great loss. Grief has many angles and sometimes is not completed leaving a block in your system. If you are not successful in pregnancy, grief is a good area to look at for answer. Love and enlightenment to you. Claudia x
A robin visited my garden daily since spring, my mother used to say they were spirits and sometimes a sign of a death. This robin made friends with my dog titchy. The robin even visited his kennel daily .last week titchy died ofa rat bite. My hear is broken and the robin has gone what can this mean 😥
I was kneeling down sanding our front door and a robin appears 2 feet in front of me turning its head side to side and we were looking at each other for about 2minutes which was mind blowing and wherever i go i always seeing a robin so close to me as in 6feet away . I always though its my dad looking out for me as its been 3&1/2 since he died as its been happening since he went
Hello,..
I enjoyed reading this as I have been dealing with some serious struggles in my life for the past few months.
This morning I was again greeted at my back porch window by two robins peeking around and singing
also sometimes in the bedroom window I see them up in the tree. A year ago the most beloved dog I had
for 12 yrs who shared a deep connection to me more than any other pet in my life suddenly became very
ill and was in the final stages of his disease, I could not watch him suffer in pain anymore and had to make
the heart wrenching decision to let the vet assist with his passing. The morning of his passing he was outside
near the horse stables under the big blue sky in all of nature while laying on my lap near the edge of the
woods. We stayed there very quietly together for a long time before the vet arrived. He was in tremendous
pain but was enjoying all the sounds of nature around us. I had noticed a robin up in the pines nestled and
watching us the entire time. I sensed it knew of something going on with my dog. The robin stayed there the
entire time and was a comfort to me while my dog fell asleep in my lap and held him close to my heart for
the longest time. After my boy had passed, through all my tears and deep sorrow the robin began to chirp
there was no one else around but me and the robin, it was as if the robin was there for that very reason
to remind me of life eternal and that even as animals the importance of the soul and the spirit are so
intertwined with ours. Some people would say that you can read too much in to these things, but I know
throughout my lifetime, the spirit of animals has always shown me far more through their natural instincts
simply by observation of them and listening to what they too are speaking. As painful as that moment was
for me in relinquishing my great love in to the universe I found peace and comfort in the presence of that
robin nestled in the pines.
Beautiful story! It truly touched my heart. Thank you for sharing.
What a beautiful story. Thanks for sharing this message of hope, love and comfort.
After all of this snow and cold air… I was surprised to hear birds singing this morning!!! I looked out of my window and there were hundreds of robins flocking in all of the nearby trees. I researched to see if it was normal for them to be in my area (Hampton Roads) at this time of year and I found they signal the end of winter is coming! I read no further and put out some bird seed!!! Lol
I don’t believe in coincidences, so I accept everything said here and then some!!! 100 fold!!! To The Eternal One be all the glory!!!
I had a dream that my husband and I were looking at buying a new house our family (siblings, in-laws, children) were there and we were walking through it. We went outside to look at a large brown barn and I looked over my right shoulder and saw a robin flying along side me. The grass was so green and the robin was so beautiful I couldn’t believe it. I thought to myself I must be dreaming and pinched myself at which point I realized I was dreaming. I was sad I wanted it to be real. I begged and pleaded in my dream to stay there. When I awoke I felt it was strange that this was so emotionally charged, my husband and I built a house several years ago not looking to buy or sell, but I did get laid off a few weeks later. I’m not sure if that was the new beginning? I thought of new beginnings as more positive than losing your job. Looking for some different perspectives.
hi i just wondered if there maybe a meaning to this but for the past week or so there has been a robin sitting on my balcony looking in for about 5 mins then eats the food and flies off it returns several times a day.. could this mean anything??

For a long while I have been trying to find what exactly my spirit animal is and nobody can tell you, it is what you encounter whether in a dream state or in daily life and what you feel an attachment to. Everyday I have at least two Robin’s in my path and a swarm of them around my home. It seemed easy to explain the ones that continue to stay around my residence, but not the ones that are right there no matter where I am that literally seem to follow me as I walk on a daily basis. Finally I decided to look them up, they fit my personality perfectly and I like I kind of referred to I tried to move towards an animal that other sources described me as but you find out what it is on your own.
I have been struggling with my finances and had to move myself, my husband and our three kids into my mom’s home temporarily. It has been challenging, frustrating and painful for me to face the truth of the relationship with my parents, and realize the effect it has had on me throughout my life. I have taken this opportunity to do the hard work of spiritual growth, and months later, I can now see how far I have come. For the last two weeks or so, when I go out on the porch to smoke, a robin comes out of the nearby bush and talks to me. At first I was not sure if it was deliberate or a defensive gesture, but now every day she comes out of her bush and hops to the outside step where I can see her. She turns her head this way and that and makes chirping noises. She will remain in sight until I get up to leave and then she retreats to her bush. Today I came out and she came flying in from wherever she had been outside of this area, and proceeded to do the same routine of finding a close vantage point , looking and chirping to me. When I arose to leave, she flew away to wherever she had come from. I’ve been wondering why she came into my life and what it means. Reading this makes sense and rings true to where I am in my life. When I first moved in I was visited repeatedly by deer, which signifies my needing to be forgiving and gentle with myself and others during that time of heavy conflict and sadness. Now I am visited by the robin during a time where I feel renewed strength and excitement for the future I am creating, and the inner changes that have occurred that have put me in a very different space within compared to where I began a few months back. Thank you for the validation and messages of truth.
Reading this has hit a chord with me on so many levels. I have suffered with depression for years and i know i am in the process of change. The one thing i am confident with in my life is my voice and i often sing in public. So reading about the musicality and connecting to others through song really did hit a chord!
i have a Robin which has only started recently visiting our house. on one ocassion my husband left the back door open and it flew into the house. when i am out for walks its often follows me. I think Robins are beautiful birds, this bird seems very kind and looks like it looks right through my soul trying to tell me something. I Hope there is a good meaning to this bird visiting our home.
Amazing to read this as I was out for a walk today and must have seen 30 robins. All flying in front of me and my partner and our baby and trying to get our attention and we were discussing about big decisions in our lives and I am having to let go of many plans I was making and although I feel sad I also feel like things are freeing up and feel great relief. so nice to hear all the positive things a robin symbolizes for such changes in one’s life. thank you little robins. xxxx
I saw the most beautiful Robin with the brightest red breast land on my back garden gate the morning that Robin Williams passed. Robins seem to be following me everywhere and yesterday what looked like a pregnant female was in my front garden when I came home. I took out a little bowl of water for her and some nuts.
This is so inspiring for me. The past few nights, I have been having crazy nightmares of being chased etc. But last night, I had the most wonderful dream of looking into the Galaxy and being able to see all the stars and watch as the planets moved around the Solar System and around Earth.
The next beautiful part of the dream was when I had a baby Robin land on my hand and eat his breakfast. He was very young and didn’t look like he should be out of the nest so I took him home and fed him cat food from a straw to give him protein. He got stronger and stronger and then I woke up!
My own personal goals are to one day work in Wildlife Conservation. I have had many dreams of animals, in particular birds. But this dream I take as a true sign.
Thank You
hello.i just want to share this with you.i have this robin that has flown in my house 3 days in a row.also i have a video that a robin also been in the caravan up the yard twice now.i do believe in angels.may be its a sign for me.wish i new what it was.!!
It started in winter when the Cape Robin is rare.
For a week every morning, a robin flew into my office, circled and flew out.
Whenever I sit in the garden and read Joel Goldsmith a robin lands on these logs nearby,
hops off and hops towards me and when really close looks at me , swoops upwards and flies so close
i could touch it.
My wide just called me from Devon, where she is having a weekend with my mother-in-law, who believes that Robins are a sign of a departed loved one. They had just walked back from the spot where my father-in-law’s ashes are scattered and a Robin flew into the porch and sat on the shoe rack where all the walking boots are stored. They got some comfort from this belief and whatever the truth, that’s all that really counts.
We went through a tragic incident this morning, our beloved dog had to be put to sleep. When Rob and I were cleaning the flat after, a Robin came and sat in the tree outside out kitchen window for ages, we were looking at him. I think that was a sign he is okay and we did the best thing for him xxx
😀 this made perfect sense & resonated so deeply…Thank you for this wonderful resource!
Thank you for this information on the robin. 16 days ago, (on July 30th), I went out on my front porch to talk to my dog, Rosy. Suddenly, robins started gathering near the side of the porch. More and more of them, in the trees, on the ground, in bushes. Something holy was happening. It had to mean something. They were all sweet and seemed to be telling me something. I never saw so many robins in one place in my life.
