Prairie Dog Meaning, and Messages

In this case Prairie Dog symbolism is reminding you that by participating in activities with your friends and family you are feeding your sense of self-worth and well being. In other words, take the time to figure out why you have withdrawn yourself physically and emotionally. Prairie dog symbolism also asks you to address those parts of yourself. Like the dolphin, you deserve to be a vibrant part of your community. Moreover, your input and participation are treasured by those around you. You are wanted!

Prairie Dog Totem, Spirit Animal

People with the prairie dog totem have a powerful sense of community. So much so that they are often deeply involved in organizing group events and philanthropic projects. They have a gift for bringing people together to work cooperatively.  Furthermore, they also know how to get the best out of them. Like the chicken totem, they flourish in social situations and love to express their affection to those around you.

Folks with this spirit animal totem tend to lean toward vegetarianism. They also have a green thumb when it comes to growing things. Occasionally, they will become a little too involved with those around them, to the point of not giving others enough space to develop in their way. Finding a way to balance this tendency requires them to retreat inward and be aware of their actions.

Prairie Dog Dream Interpretation

When you have a prairie dog dream, it represents an underground community. The vision is telling you that you need to go against the masses and what is considered normal. Alternatively, like a cricket dream, prairie dog meaning in a dream can signify that you will have to go inward to find out what is going on in your life right now. In other words, do some emotional or physical digging. There is something that you need to look at carefully so that you can get to the truth of the matter.

To see one of these rodents hugging or touching another of this species signifies that you have withdrawn yourself from your friends and family. Therefore you need to make an effort to regain your sense of community.

  • While there are benefits to investing time with others, this is but one way to feed one’s sense of self-worth and well-being. How about feasting at the huge buffet table where you serve yourself? It’s been said that an unexamined life isn’t worth living. Check it out— if you create a relationship with every aspect of yourself—thoughts and feelings –you’re bound to come to know and love your own little inner family/ community. You won’t have a need for anyone or anything outside yourself to feel worthy and well. I AM enough for me! As for knowing you’re wanted? How about acknowledging the other side of this too–notice when you’re NOT wanted. Seriously–because its a true delight to discover that if others don’t want me –that’s their business. I know I want me and that’s what matters.

  • ❓ Last night around 9:30 there was the beginning of a thick fog, I noticed a strange shadow fly over just past the drivers side of my car and it only took a second to realize what had flown over my car. The loud cry of an Eagle it was so clear! and so loud! there no mistake made, ! An Eagle flew over my car! I believe I was not the only person who had noticed.
