Horse Meaning and Messages

In this case, Horse symbolism lets you know that you have the power to change anything and everything you choose in your life. Moreover, it means that the wild freedom of this spirit can be harnessed and used for your benefit and those around you. This understanding comes only when man and beast enter a silent contract acknowledging mutual respect and awareness of responsibility to each other.

Alternatively, you must understand that real power is the wisdom found in remembering your journey as a whole. Furthermore, compassion, caring, teaching, loving, and sharing your gifts, talents, and abilities are the gateways to power.

Inevitably, Horse meaning advises you that all pathways have equal validity. Keeping this in mind will give you insight into the power and the glory of a unified family and humanity. Every human being must follow a pathway to empowerment before galloping upon the wings of destiny.

Horse Totem, Spirit Animal

The Horse totem symbolizes freedom. People with this spirit animal will consistently find themselves on a new journey. This totem will teach you to ride in new directions and discover your power and liberty. Horse totem people are usually friendly and adventurous. If you have this totem, you must free yourself from perceived limitations. You must continuously question whether or not you need to move on or allow others to withdraw. This animal will teach you how to ride in new directions to awaken and discover your freedom and power.

Horse Dream Interpretation

In general, a Horse dream may indicate you will see a project or event to a successful conclusion. Falling off an equine in your vision means that you are nervous about a project or activity you have scheduled. Dreaming of this animal with reins, pulling a wagon, or tied with ropes indicates that you are feeling restricted and desire more freedom in your life. A bucking bronco Horse dream suggests a need to break old habits.

Also, a frightened Horse running fast indicates that your fears are keeping you from fulfilling your dreams. Running away from these issues is impeding your progress. Conversely, a sleeping Horse dream indicates that you ignore a vital opportunity to remove an obstruction to your happiness. A mare with a foal suggests the beginning of a new phase or journey in your life. Finally, a horse dream in which a filly or a colt is frantically searching for its mother is symbolic of spiritual indecision. In other words, you are confused about what you want to believe and where you want to place your trust.

The Color of the Horse in the Horse Dream

The colors of this noble animal, whether it be a part of a dream, vision, your spirit animal, or messenger, are always significant. We have compiled the symbolism of each color here for your further study. These messages apply specifically to the equine mammal. You can also study some of the specific breeds like the Arabian and American Quarter Horses.

These colors can also apply to the Llama and the Camel.

White Horse Symbolism

In this case, the white steed represents an avatar or master of knowledge and faith. They are the teacher of spiritual progress and are adept in the fields of intellectualism and reason. Moreover, this spirit animal has command of their emotions and manifests perfect justice. Also, this animal signifies the coming of a spiritual lesson or teacher into your life.

Palomino (Golden) Horse Totem

A golden-colored equine signifies the coming of a spiritual manifestation. They are symbolic of the rising sun and are Masters of action. It is a new day, and there is a lot to do. Therefore, you must trust your inner wealth of knowledge to reach your goals. Moreover, believe in your heart that all things are possible and that all will now be available to you.

Gray Horse Symbolism

Always bet on the gray on a rainy day, and when things are difficult, look for the silver lining. In other words, believe that whatever you are undergoing will soon be resolved. Alternatively, this color equine can represent shady dealings and undertakings. Consequently, you should go inwards and be honest with yourself.

Black Horse Meaning

The black steed symbolism is both death-defying and death-seeking. In other words, it is symbolic of death and rebirth. It signifies the closing of one door and the opening of another. It can also symbolize the need for you to take a leap of faith. Trust intuition even if you can’t see the reason or the result. Go blindly forth and believe.

Roan (Dark with White Hairs Interspersed) Horse Totem

The roan equine signifies that there are traditional concepts that are blocking your spiritual progress. Perhaps you are a little self-satisfied and over complacent. This animal gives you a clear message that you need to root out your emotional and spiritual blockages to move forward.

Bay (Medium Brown with Black Mane and Tail) Horse Meaning

The bay steed is symbolic of steady progress toward your goals. Furthermore, it symbolizes that you are safely on your path and nurturing all the right elements for yourself to grow. In other words, keep up the excellent work!

Brown Horse Meaning

The brown equine is a reminder not to get caught up in the worship of worldly goods. Know that the Universe will always provide everything that you will need at the moment and that not all things are necessities. Once you release your attachment to your materialism, you make room for the abundance.

Red Horse Symbolism

The red steed is symbolic of hidden anger, vengefulness, and combativeness. He is letting you know that perhaps your current actions fall into these categories. Alternatively, someone close to you is harboring ill will and jealousy.

Black and White Horse Symbolism

The black and white animal totem is representative of balance. But, unfortunately, it can also be symbolic of indecisiveness and divided loyalties. Dig within to regain your balance and be true to yourself. Only you can change yourself.

  1. Hi, as I worked on my computer in a completely silent house with no horses for miles, at midnight before I decided to end my work I heard horses neighing. I check there was no tv on. No noises outside, nothing. It went on for 10-15 seconds and I had to focus to see where it was coming from. I never think or see horses, they are not part of my life. Nobody I know has them also. I had no watched any movies with horses in a long time. Maybe months. It was very clear. I believe it was spirit. Please tell me what you think it means to hear this whilst fully conscious and awake.

  7. I dreamed of the a typical brown horse with the white patch on the bridge of its nose, but it was night time and it had light sticks on it (mostly purple with green, blue) it seemed stressed and I rode it and it just wanted to get away for a break. I rode it away, I woke up before we made it out of the paddock.

  8. I had a dream where a horse with the same brown spots as the one in your picture visited. A Google image search brought me here. I didn’t even know they could look like that. For context my family is huge into horses, and I’m allergic. Very allergic. I always got left out because of it. My father put everything into my sister’s horses and forgot about me. But in this dream I want allergic. And my dad gave me a horse. She was a beautiful draft horse with white fur and brown spots all over. Her name was Stella. She told me. She let me ride barebacked and brileless. I rubbed her neck for direction . She was so kind to me and I loved her. The next read recommendation was the hawk. Hawk spirit has visited me before in a very intense dream. I know this is a sign now. And I know Stella is a guide. But what was she trying to tell me if anything?

  11. I’m trying to decide a career path, and I’ve now been given two job options. On the day I learnt that I had the second job option, I was shown three different horse signs – one was a “horse” brand key, the other was a toy horse I found while cleaning and then a horse float held me up on the road. These all occurred within an hour of each other, then I received the phone call telling me I had the job. I’m happy with my current job, but the new one may be wonderful also. What do these horse signs mean? Should I go for the new job or stay where I am? I feel like they were important signs/symbol as I don’t frequently come across horses or horse objects (hense noticing them)
    Thank you for your help and wisdom;
    Emma.

    1. Hi Emma !

I am intrigued by your post because I’m going through a similar situation. I also have been seen many horse symbols and do not know how to interpret them. I was curious to know if anyone has replied to your post with an answer. And if they had would you mind sharing any insight with me?

      Thank you in advance. Sharyn

  12. I had a dream I walked into a stable full of white horses and brown horses all covered with a pretty felt blanket on their backs resting and I woke them not abruptly but just woke them and they all stood one by one till the stable was full of horses standing with the felt blankets on their backs. What does this mean?

  13. I was meditating and saw a light colored horse just standing there looking at me. It was wearing a fabric over it like as if it was a royal horse or a horse of war maybe? The scene behind it was calm and just a stretch of green grass. What do you think this means?

    1. EspionageCookie

Since white horses represent some kind of spiritual teacher, perhaps the teacher you might be looking for might be a historical figure in history having to do with royalty or physical battle? Is there anyone in the history books that catches your eye as a good example for you? If so, study the lessons of their life. That, or is there anyone who personally reminds you of acting like a royal or a brave warrior who is also very wise? Perhaps it’s time to reach out to this individual for counsel.

  14. Today early morning I had a dream of white horse.

I was breshing my teeth I looked outside my window there was a beautiful white horse lay down on the grass field and I opened my door it tries to come inside my house so I’m struggling to push it out, then I suddenly woke up.

Can you please interpret the meaning of my dream.

    1. EspionageCookie

White horses represent wise teachers, so perhaps you are not allowing this teacher to come into your home because you do not really believe in his or her wisdom in teaching you to become a better person in life. You are not open to really hearing out their side of the story or opinion of what needs to be done.

  15. saw a dream like i am the owner of an entitywhich is helping, caring, playing with small poor kids and for them a place i bought where i bought horses in a truck.colour of horse was dark and shiny, one of them was so strong,he was running infront of me like anything, others were tideed with rope, one horse is there who was having a big mouth and nose and one having big body and small face..what does it mean?

    1. EspionageCookie

It might point to how you would approach looking after others or helping others in your care. The black horse might represent that you need to sacrifice something, to gain what you desire. To cause an end so a rebirth of something new will take its place. The ones tied in rope might represent a lack of freedom, which is unfortunate because horses represent freedom. This might mean not controlling others with too much unsolicited advice and to trust as well as respect their own decisions and opinions of what they want to do, even if they are wrong. To agree to disagree, and be open to their ideas if they have a point to them, even if it’s not 100% correct. It might be not 100% wrong either. Things are more complicated than they seem. The horse with the big mouth and nose might represent that you talk too much, but not listen enough. The one with the big body and small face might mean that you might focus on action too much in caretaking, rather than thinking with your head.

    1. EspionageCookie

Since horses represent freedom and chicks represent weakness or vulnerability, it might mean that not focusing enough on self discipline on structuring yourself with too much freedom, might make you harm others in some way without intending to. Take time to think of how others would be affected in a decision, when you decide to pursue more freedom.

  16. My 7yr old son had a dream of a blue horse with blach spots troting. It then laid down and turned into hundreds of people. Could you please tell me what you think this could mean?

    1. EspionageCookie

A blue horse might represent the blue of the throat chakra, which represents communication. With black spots, it might mean that there are blockages to your ability to speak to others well. Horses represent freedom, but in particular here, you might be in a position where you do not have the freedom to speak or the right to say particular opinions. The horse sitting down in becoming hundreds of people might point out to you the lesson that there is strength in numbers when you want to push certain ideas towards more formidable foes.

  17. Tonight a grey horse layed down for me allowing me to use its as my pillow. I’m not sure about its sex… it would watch and protect me while sleeping and even covered my eyes with its tail. I couldn’t believe how kind, caring and protecting it was and my brain was just thinking and thinking so I could not sleep. After a while it gave up and had me go. I felt abandoned and ashamed. Then some future career plans appeared… what does this mean?

    1. EspionageCookie

Perhaps someone disappointed you in the past with false hopes of freedom to do what you desire, and you still cannot move on. Though now you need to look turn your back to the past and face forward towards the future.

  18. Hi, in my own dream my brother and I have this 2 beautiful dark brown horses. He strapped his own to a tree and I was busy running after something else that I forgot to strap mine to the tree. So in the end my horse let loose and destroyed other people’s farm

    1. EspionageCookie

This might represent that your brother is able to control his material needs with being able to strap his brown horse, since a brown horse represents uncontrolled material pleasures. Yours on the other hand might represent that your material needs might be getting a bit out of control. Not in just the classic sense of alcohol or smoking addiction. If you are confused, there are other more common types of addictions, such as social media addiction, video game addiction, shopping addiction, bad relationships addiction, TV addiction and more. Look up “subtle addictions,” for more mild, but still concerning addictions.

  19. i had a dream I walked into this random barn. and these people told me to try riding this red horse that nobody else could ride. so I saddled her up got on. I could control her perfectly fine. but I got stuck because the people were jealous, I think. but instead of getting caught the horse jumped the fence with me on her and we ran. I have searched multiple websites but it was only for bits of the dream. I want to know what the dram as a whole means

  20. I once had a dream that I was in a lush green landscape surrounded by people (we were having some kind of picnic/other kind of event) and this white horse comes trotting/walking towards me but he never hurt me. It’s almost like he wanted me to follow him, so I did.

  21. I had a dream that I woke up n found a horse in my room he started cuddling me than he started humping me so I kicked him away

  22. Hi, last night in my dream I was jogging and There was a crow on my path so I clapped my hands to clear him off the path. But instead of flying away a black horse appeared and the crow landes on his back, the horse running towards me. I tried to take another path but the horse caught Up and started rolling on me, but it wasnt crushing me it was hugging me…
Could you Tell me what this means please?
    Thank you so much!!

  23. Hi, I found your website when I was looking for dream meanings. Tonight I had the most strange dream. I dreamed that I was going home, and while I was going through the usual path, there were several dead dark horses on each side. It was a horror scene. There were like 50 dead horses. The horses were full of blood, and some of them had broken limbs, and others didn’t have any limbs at all, or ears, or eyes. When I arrived home there was a yellow scorpion in my house, and a unknown grey cat, the cat was very friendly and it was clearly afraid of the scorpion, and the scorpion was very fast and very aggressive, trying to sting me and a friend of mine that was there too. We were able to kill the scorpion. After that I kept the cat. After a while there was someone nocking at my door, it was the cat owner but after seeing the cat so happy with me, he let me take it definitely. I wake up very serene but a little bit disgusted about the horses.

  24. HORSE, AKOSHÁ:TENS – SPIRIT ANIMAL

Horse, Akoshá:tens, visits me again. Akoshá:tens speaks of Freedom. In this case the Freedom that Horse speaks of does not seem to be my own, but the Freedom of someone close to me. I gave someone bad advice recently, which in the end was me trying interfere with their ability to make a very important decision, one that would effect them much more than me. Sometimes when we think we are trying to help those we care about, we try to do so by placing reigns on them. Sometimes the best way to help is to step aside and let those we care about the Freedom to make their own decisions.

  25. Today morning while doing self contemplation I came up with a thought that my purpose of life is to feel love as a primary emotion. The moment I had this thought and closed my eyes I felt a Black horse running to me.

  26. I have a special love for Horse, Akoshá:tens. I was taught to ride almost as soon as I could walk, and the gentleness of the powerful being still does not cease to fill me with wonder. As a pirit animal I know that Akoshá:tens represents Freedom, that you always have a choice, even when it seems like you don’t. That Freedom, that sense that I cannot own or be owned is an important part of who I am and what I have always believed. For Akoshá:tens, Horse to walk with me on any day is a very good thing.

  27. Akoshá:tens, Horse has always had a sacred meaning to me. I learned to ride around the same time that I learned to walk and my friend and teacher Roger worked with horses. Horse rides through my dreams very frequently and she always fills me with a sense of trust, faith and well being.

  28. I was walking thru a forest in the night
Suddenly a group of wild horses came galloping
out of the woods, I stood with my back against a tree, watching them run out to valley….

    What does it mean?
    Thanks.

  29. The horse in my dreams may have been a pony, it was rather small. It was brown. I’d seen another in a vision only two days before, the same color of brown and rather small, only that one had a rider. The rider was me in a past life; a male warrior in warrior’s garb with a sword at my side. The vision was preceded by an ache in my right thumb knuckle joint. This was translated to me as my being wary from holding the sword for battles, time to lay the sword down and release the ways of the warrior which are not for this lifetime. And so I did. I consciously did guided exercises of a sort to release the warrior with honor and dignity and release him, embracing instead the ways of the healer, woman, mother, lover, writer, etc.; the ways that do serve me well in this lifetime and are all related to my life purpose.
In the dream, however, the brown horse was dead. It lay with its neck twisted in an unnatural way, indicating its lack of life force energy. I could not see its face. Behind the horses lifeless body was a large, fat snake; a constrictor of some kind, some sort of python, and a brown bear. Both had their heads behind the horse’s body and I could not see them until the bear raised its head and looked at me. Although I wasn’t necessarily afraid, I knew the bear could pose a danger to me and I started to move away from it. I quickly went into a mobile home where my father sat, very relaxed, slouching in an easy chair watching TV. By the time I closed the simply constructed screen door behind me, turning to face the outside, I saw the bear was coming up onto the porch. At know point did the bear act aggressively toward me, I just knew he could offer me danger if he chose to. I looked down and saw a partially eaten bologna sandwich, the typical sandwich of my childhood in my right hand. I threw the sandwich over the bear so it landed just off the porch and the bear turned away from me to look at the sandwich. I awoke.
I never did see the snake’s head, but didn’t feel it didn’t have one, and didn’t feel the snake had any interest in me, but only in the dead horse. I suspect I may have some ideas on the translations of this, but would really like to know what anyone has to say about it.

  30. This was not a dream. At about 3 am , something made me open my eyes, only to see a huge white Pegasus next to my bed, from floor to ceiling, and when I saw the Pegasus , it spread his wings open. I can even see the details of its feathers. Then it disappeared. I also seen a angel with blond hair, smiling with pearl teeth, wearing a white gown , at the corner of my ceiling. No, I don’t take drugs or drink. seen many things.

    1. Well Betty .. If your not having any mental issues and don’t hallucinat for no reason then this only leaves one thing ,, your sensitivity has either always been like this and or you have recently had something happen to you which kicked your phscic abilities into higher gear ., now this is very ironic you mention this as today I was outside with my younger son of 5 and we were in the forest nest to my house were we have been building this lean too and my son while standing nest to me stops in his tracks and says to me that’s weird .. He explains to me that he just saw a wolf standing not 10 ft away starring at him , then it just vanished .. NOW I myself am psychic and have been seeing things for years .. But my son has only felt things, now hearing what you have said of its seemingly picking up and happening a lot more in last few days then I would say that something regarding the spirit world is really getting active … In short if what your seeing is more from your 3rd eye (minds eye) and not hurting or leaving a negative imprint on you then look for any messages ,, and or seek what seeing means .. Now the thing is on this site , most things are for dreams ,, the interpretation of say seeing a fox in dreams differs from seeing one in real life ,, and even more so when your talking about mythology and these type of creature as people put it …

    2. Betty, you are connected to the higher realm. Look at the time your comment posted. 11:44. Look up the mean of such numbers.
      Blessings!

  31. Hi. My horse experience is not a dream. In the last few weeks something I now know is my solar plexus chakra has been energised by a million volts. It is like I have swallowed a star. It is so intense, but light. I am seeing many complex colorful pictures in my head. So clear I can zoom in and out on the minutest detail. So I have been feeling electric, happy and alert.

Over the last 7 or 8 months my lifestyle has drastically changed. I spend many, many hours alone, through choice. Mostly in areas of nature as I live next to a 400 acre country park. Some spots in this park I sit and spend hours. I smoke my pipe and sometimes drink a beer or two. One area takes about 45 minutes to walk to and close by I discovered a horse field. 2 horses, one brown and one white. The brown one has come over both times I visited, the white one never. On Monday I was in the park and decided to go to the distant spot I have mentioned. I spent about 90minutes there before then thinking of the brown horse and decided to say hello.

As I walked there, in the opposite field on my left I was acutely aware of a horse running up and down, snorting and obviously agitated. I approached the gate to this field and this agitated horse came over snorting, walking around and coming back to the gate.i stayed cool, patted the horse on the head and then spoke to the horse. I to suggested it carried on running up and down to release some of its obvious huge energy. The horse shook its head no, then used its head to point in my direction. Then it started kicking the gate hard and within seconds had torn it down. This was amazing. I looked around for a number to call, maybe owners etc, and as I walked off, the horse jogged up behind me. When I turned round, it stopped. I walked back to the gate, horse followed, then 4 or 5 other horses in a different field ran over. I edged away while they communicated. I found 2 horse riders in the distance and told them what happened. They knew the escaped horse and got her lead. As I was walking away, the horse escaped the man’s grip and came to me again. Then I noticed the 2 horse riders were on the brown and white horses I had come to see. Again only the brown one came to me. I have the escape and destruction of the gate on video as I knew something odd was happening.

With the recent energy change in me, this horse incident and the universe seemingly providing unusual opportunities like this for me, would I be wrong to have paid such close attention to horses recently? Is there some symbolism in this?

    1. I think power animals live and dwell in our energy centers, especially the solar plexas. Shamans have been known to carry whole herds. If it were me, I’d think that was a meaningful event. How did it make u feel?

  32. My dream was vivid and replicated my regular drive home, in my own car when I came across 2 harnessed brown horses on an empty cart travelling towards me. I slowed my vehicle, knowing I’m a safe driver, keeping a safe distance from the seemingly riderless horses. I stop safely on a small bridge and the horses seem to stop too. I notice that one is wild eyed and sketchy and the other is a calm and steady cart horse working away. I don’t know what disturbs the wild eyed horse but it rears up with its hooves in the air and tramples the ground, annoying and unsettling the quiet workhorse. The crazy horse slowly nudges my car off the edge of the bridge and I fall into the abyss below. Can anyone help?

  33. Hi. My Dream:
I was walking through a large forest area came upon an old grey stone round sort of silo. I could hear a man yelling and cracking a whip, after the man was gone I peered in a window not being able to see inside I went around to the door to find a sort of abusive chains and other devices. Not understanding what I was looking at. I heard a voice “run he’s coming back” I did not run, I was trying to break this contraption/device so it could not be used again. WHEN this man came back and saw me. He was coming after me with this whip, I called for the horses help which was just outside grasing. I asked the voice. What is the horses name? “Halfbipe” as I repeated the name the horse came to me passing by the man with the whip. The man tried to catch the horse and call him to him but with no ropes or bit, only some harness with a chain on the chin the horse came to me, picking me up as if he knew I was there and with the horses help, we disarmed the male and defeated him. The horse knew he was then freed, empowered and fully recharged and redeemed the horse slowly and carefully slid me down and galloped away playing in the open field. (I know there was no way I could have held on to the horse, and I didn’t have to ask anything else from the horse except call his name, he knew what had to be done) and HALFBIPE isn’t even a word in the websters.
If you can make sense of this one, I really need insight.

  34. I dont know how to day this but I saw my horse who was put down a little over a year ago. Here’s the Little Bit was her name she was a black mare and was pts in a diffrent state that is 17 hrs away (on my cousins farm) but she was white but almost misty and I saw wings. Was I seeing things or did Ireally see her ghoast? 😥 I was crying as i was typing this RIP Little Bit you would have been 20 May 1 2016

    1. So sorry for your lose of Little Bit. I believe that their True Spirit lives within our Hearts Forever. We are Blessed to have the connections with them.

  35. I planned a three day getaway with me and my children at a place called show low Arizona. It is very close to the Apache Indian reservation. Upon our return to the hotel, the hotel neighbors this large horse property. It had about 7 horses ranging from new born to mature horses. My kids walked to the fence line and some of the horses moved away while they kept eating in the meadow and a few stayed behind to be hand fed and pet. It was an enlightening moment and peaceful thing to see my kids enjoy that company. I wish I could post picture of that moment here.

  36. I dosed off to sleep and woke up quickly after dreaming about a fairy, but a male fairy that was tiny, about 2 inches tall. He has a warrior, roundish body, helmet, war clothing. He was riding a tiny white horse with wings and the tiny horse and fairy flew in front of my face to get my attention. Then they disappeared and I woke up. Any suggestions of what this could mean? Last night I was with a Native Indian, healer. Any connection?

  37. I had a dream that I was in the hospital for the tendinitis in my feet. I was crying in pain. They looked at my feet, Then they prescribed me pain medication. While I was waiting on them the Nurse put me on a horse and had me riding around outside. I usually am afraid to ride horses but not this time. I went back to my hospital bed got my pain medication and then woke up. Weirdest thing though, was that I woke up on the couch and don’t remember getting there. I always remember getting up at night.

  38. Hi, I would like some insight to a dream I had. This was my first dream about a horse. I was walking on the grass near a street at night. I was in a confused drunken state of being, not able to see clearly, and not able to walk straight. A large brown horse came up to me and tried to steer me straight so I would not go into traffic. I was stumbling, and so, she layed on top of me. At first I was scared because I felt her weight, but she only layed on me to pin me down and cradle me. She then started nudging and liking my face in a nurturing way. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you 🙂

  39. Over the last two years I have been working on spiritual development, recently I have started to communicate with my father who died ten years ago. Yesterday, when in the midst of a communication (I also had my grandfather and grandmother present, they both too have passed over), I asked for some form of “validation” from my father that this was not all my imagination “running away with me”. He said, clearly in my mind “look out for a white horse” and he showed me how it would appear, I was out walking; some 30 minutes later there it was. I felt as though I had been punched in the stomach. Since then I have not only felt the confirmation that the communication was real, but I was shown a white horse for additional spiritual reasons.

  40. Hi
I just came across your site to find answers to a strange dream I had. Firstly I have never looked into spirit animals, so this dream really came out of the blue. I dreamt I was randomly walking along and a huge BROWN horse came up to me (he was beautiful) and spoke to me saying he was my spirit animal. That was all that happened. Very short, but I woke up knowing this dream meant something. I don’t ever ever have dreams with meanings! I’m feeling kind of strange since waking up, like I’m meant to find the meaning of this dream. Sorry if I sound nuts!

    1. Hi Emily 🙂
It sounds like the meaning of your dream is exactly what was presented to you! The horse is (perhaps one of) your spirit animals!
A spirit animal are kind of energetic and characteristic alikeness between you and that animal, which leads you to find your superpowers strengths and weakness to guide you towards more knowledge and understanding of yourself.
I’ve been studying Shamanic dreaming and practicing spirituality for a long time and would love to tell you more about anything you’ve encountered since this dream ~ I ended up on this page intuitively and feel that maybe I was to find your message.

PS you posted your comment at 11:11pm !
You don’t sound nuts at all dear, it sounds like spirit is calling for your attention ~
      hehe

  41. ❓ I never have dreams with horses. But last night I did. More than one but one by one not all together. I was travelling down a road with my youngest in the van with me. A road I am not familair with. I do know we had visited friends and family and were leaving the property through this road. First we saw a huge dark dead creature laying across the road almost fully where not many could drive through. After we passed it then the horses started to gallop towards us on the same path passing by us one at a time maybe a few seconds or minutes after one another. At least 3 or 5 I had seen while driving down this road but the last one behaved differently. The last horse not only went towards us but did not want to pass us and wanted to stay with me and follow me and kept going at me as if throwing itself on me but not to hurt me at least I did not feel it was attacking me but I did find it very weird it would not leave me alone. Any thoughts? I have not thought of a horse as my totem however I have understood that they can be spirit guides OR we could have more than several totems during a season or spread apart through out our lives.

Thank you for your comments. 😉

    1. Wow powerful dream. Something ends and that creates the space for brand new energy to take us to our destination. Healing of some disease (dead animal) via visit to family, created abundance of brand new energy (Horses) to take place inside you. As a mother we all need that. New instinctual raw power, force of nature, miraculous cures, marital counselling and reconciliation, hopeful, energetic, loyal, friendly, powerful, spirit guide, or animal but one that requires taming, because wild horses when tamed become our best source of transportation, arrival at destination, helper in achievement of our goals. providing forward impulse and momentum. If you had any doubts about the path you are taking in life as in “will I have the necessary energy to follow through” horses are there to remind you, we will take you where you aim to go, fast and wholesome.

  42. I have loved horses from when I was younger, But when I actually met a horse for the first time I was absolutely terrified of them. I loved riding them though but they made me so nervous.
I have no idea what they mean for me but whenever I try connecting with my totem they always seem to pop up. I just don´t know how to decipher they´re presence in my life.
    Can anyone help?

    1. It may mean that once you realize this horse is a message from Gaia to you and all those it is around. Medicine. The horse has a message of healing and to remind you often to read horse totem medicine. The message will guide you thru your mind if it is troubled and give you freedom from any issues in the future. Tonight my totem the moth let me know I will be reunited with my wife and to shift my energy from drama to what is closest to My heart. In fact the agreement I had with the moth was when instead of killing them I saved them. That moment is when I became aware of awareness. Everything is true for you in the medicine above. Start observing all animals and insects that you see and understand free healing.

  43. My aunt has two horses name LadyBug and Belle, they are very protective over me. LadyBug and I are connected anytime I’m sad, lonely, or afraid she is there to show me that she cares no matter what or actions that happened to cause my pain or sadness.

😉 I went walking last night at our local civic center on the water, with a friend. We were surprised that horses and trailers were all over the parking lot. I was playful and free til I got the call to go home and perform duties that sicken me, literally, emotionally and physically. I read today the totem for the horse, and It made me know that my HARD DECISION is the right one that will bring me to that freedom, from the bondage of this man, the drug I use, and the fear of being lazy and fat if I don’t do the drug. I can go get help with antidepressents and therapy and REALLY BE FREE. TO BE THE REAL ME.

  45. I have had many dreams of horses but one stuck.with mE. I was on the side of a mountain looking down at a river where horses were drinking water. The water was not deep and they were in it I looked past everything else and saw there was nothing else only black space. I saw a wave coming towards the horse that came from no where. And I tried to run down the side of the cliff to scares the horse out of the water. My arms grew long and so did my legs my legs got so long I got farther from the horseS it was to late they had been washed away into nothing.

    1. Emotional tides are drowning physical stamina vitality and healing potential of self. Reduce drama in life OR….Emotional waves are removing too much of a wild and carefree nature, engulfing raw energy. Emotional lethargy, drained by emotional excess could be a potential answer. Super human powers are making you miss your goals, try relaxation and emotionally nurturing heart based family connection in place of self willed wild raw super human strength alone to solve your situation. Go with the flow of emotional waves let go, powerless against forces of nature, especially universal source of love connection from the heart.

  46. I have dreamt of a horse a few days back. Here´s the dream.

The kingdom I lived in had an annual festival where horses and humans find their connected one. I was sad because last time it took me days after the festival to find my horse because she didnt live in the area I was. It was even worse as I watched others find their horse. As I wished to find my horse I felt a direction that I should go towards and deviated from the group I was in. When I found him, a large beautiful black with white mud-style coloring draft stallion, i just knew that we had a connection. The sad thing was is that he was from another kingdom that just started attacking us to steal our horses. The good thing though was that he wanted to be with me. When we were caught I got on him and we ran taking some of our friends as the enemy chased us.

I have already found my spirit animals (wolf – main, eagle, crab, and phoenix – mythical) so I am wondering why I had the connection with the stallion in my dream. If anyone can help me understand, I will be very grateful.

    1. Saw him again in my latest dream. I also remember pointing him out and saying “That is the horse from my dream” or something close to it in my dream. I also clearly saw him in his more black than white tovero coat.

  47. Hi I was wondering about a dream I had and was wondering could this mean that the horse is my animal guide. My dream was I was running in the woods away from something chasing me. I fell & was hurt. Whatever was chasing me was evil & it was getting closer. Then I herd hoofbeats. A big black horse came up to me made a circle around me & then he layed down. I crawled on his back, grabbed his mane then he got up & took off running. Whatever was chasing me was still after me. Then we came in a clearing. I remember seeing the moon. I saw the horses breath & still herd his hoofs hitting the ground when I woke up from my dream. He saved me from whatever was in those woods. That’s why I believe the horse is my spirit guide. Any input would be great!
    Thank you,
    Brandy Roark

  48. This isn’t particularly related to the horse, yet they tie in together and I am confused. I’ve recently been involved in an abusive relationship, so abusive I have to attend court for it in the very near future. I am extremely nervous to face my abuser.

While being in this relationship, I kept seeing white horses (I live in the country) everytime I passed by a field. That gave me immense strength, to see a horse grazing and standing mightily.
After having the courage to end the relationship, I kept seeing unicorns (not real, of course!) in my meditations and throughout my daily routine. (My family would be watching a movie about unicorns, I’d see a unicorn bracelet in a store, a little girl holding a stuffed unicorn.) Each time I saw this, I felt strength and comfort, I even went on to wear a unicorn necklace to calm me.

Well, this morning I broke down out of anxiety and tried meditation, begging whoever was listening in the spiritual realm to have everything turn out alright. While I meditated, I saw the unicorn again, this time with wings like a Pegasus. It allowed me to climb on its back and we soared high in the skies, and now I feel relaxed, calm, and unafraid.

What could this mean? I have seen real and mythical animals along this tough journey, and I’m grateful for their guidance, but I’m confused beyond belief. I didn’t know mythical animals could be a spirit animal.

    1. So sorry to hear of the abuse you suffered. Absolutely any animal can be a spirit animal in the shamanic realm, which is also known as nonordinary reality. This includes creatures that are normal, mythological, or completely unknown. Hopefully the following won’t make you uncomfortable, because my intent is to help. Along with other associations, horse spirits are associated with sexuality and unicorns doubly so. Winged unicorn…wow. If your abuser was your lover, it may be that Spirit is trying to provide you with the same intensity you had in your relationship (not necessarily sexual) to hold you over until you can get this difficult time. Becoming a Pegasus may also mean that Spirit is trying to rescue you and take you to a place of safety. Hope this helps.

    2. In no way am I an expert, but I and a lot of my friends have our own mythical spirit animal that we relate too. So yes it is possible. I have 3 non mythicals as well, but only the wolf is my main. Having all of the horse kinds be there for you means you probably do have a strong connection to them and they really wanted to help you and keep you strong through the tough times.

  49. I have been trying to find my spirit animal for a while now, and I have gotten Owls Deer Bears Coyotes Wolves and a Whale! And this description of the Horse is alot like me! And sometimes I do have dreams about Horses. So hoe can I tell if it is my Spirit animal?

  50. Hello, I had a dream about a herd of dark chestnut coloured horses running wild and free. I was watching this scene and as they ran closer and closer they just emanated freedom. they were so glossy and beautiful. I was not riding any of the horses, it was just a scene of horses running freely in the distance like a scene I was watching.

Can you tell me what this dream meant or give me any insight into it?!

    1. You are most likely feeling as if your stuck in the heard of life, and you want to break free of it. So your dream is telling you not to be afraid to take charge ,and dare to be different
      ,best regards,-Theequestriangal
