Grasshopper Symbolism, Grasshopper Meaning, Grasshopper Totem, Grasshopper Dream, and Messages
Time to make a move forward. Listen to your inner voice and you will know exactly what you have to do.

Grasshopper Meaning and Messages

In this case, Grasshopper symbolism is asking you to “take a leap” of faith. Similar to the Black Horse, the Grasshopper meaning insists that you must go ahead and do it. You do not have to know the outcome. Usually, this is something that you have avoided doing and is part of a large-scale change in direction. This shift can be an adjustment in a relationship, advance in a career, or a transition within yourself. Grasshopper symbolism also means that you have the wisdom that you need. Right now, you can get past any obstacles in an efficient manner. With this spirit animal, for the most part, all possible outcomes will be positive.

Grasshopper Totem, Spirit Animal

People with the Grasshopper totem are innovative, forward thinkers that rarely miss an opportunity to move forward. They are always successful in any venture that they undertake. Folks with this spirit animal also know how to use their instincts to capture the exact moment that will give them the most significant benefit. They are benevolent and enjoy giving to others. Furthermore, they rarely stay in one place very long. Like the Osprey, they always seek out the best opportunities to move forward.

Grasshopper Dream Interpretation

When you have a Grasshopper dream, it is usually an indication that you are having a bit of trouble committing yourself to a decision. Thus you need to settle down to the task at hand. Alternatively, this insect is a symbol of freedom, independence, and enlightenment in a dream.

If the creature is moving away from you, it signifies that what you were hoping and dreaming of is just out of reach. In other words, you must change something within yourself to fulfill your dreams completely. This is the only way to get what you want out of life.

Unlike the sure-footed Goat, to dream of thousands of these insects is an omen of uncertain footing as you move through some significant changes.

  1. Wow! I just had a grasshopper cling tenaciously to the hood of my car on a 12 miles journey, at speeds of up to 60 mph. I was amazed at his bravery, I watched him turn his body aerodynamically into the oncoming wind. After reading this, I feel even more honored!

  4. Hello! I’m Madel. I see grasshopper right this evening when I was crying coz of remembering past things. After, I saw it I immediately searched it’s meaning and it really help a lot to think positively and move forward.

  5. When I was a young lad I was walking through the woods in southwest England with my dad and my sister. I was lagging behind and I heard a very deep loud cricket sound. I approached the Bush where I heard the noise coming from and pulled apart some branches to find an enormous cricket ( if memory serves maybe 7 – 10″) thought nothing of it other than being a bit grossed out and left it be. It always seemed such a real experience and I told people about it as I was growing up as if it was a real experience. I am now not sure if it was an intense vivid dream or not given how enormous it was. Has anyone else experienced something similar in their dreams?

There is a very large species of crickets called bull crickets. From what I know from studying animals as a hobby, there are almost very big or very small versions of an animals people are convinced don’t exist, but do. The biggest bird is as a big as a human being, actually, and there are all kinds of surprising sizes in the animal kingdom, if you start to get curious and start googling things like “biggest insect,” “biggest rodent,” “smallest deer,” or “smallest bird.”

  6. A few months ago, my cat got hold of this grasshopper, I rescued it but the damage was done. Poor thing lost a leg, so now it’s a one legged grasshopper.
On and off he would be caught by my cat and somehow, I rescue it and put it on a tree. Happened 3 or 4 times.
Today a few months later, I hear my cat meowing again. She has this strange meow when she catches something. There it is the same one legged grass hopper. Again, I rescue and put him in a safe place. Why do I keep seeing the same grasshopper, don’t know how he survived this long

I sense a one legged grasshopper might mean that you need to take smaller leaps of faith as you move forward in life. If you are afraid to take larger risks, start by making small risks first. Face your fears in smaller ways first, before attempting to do much scarier tasks.

  7. There was this locust that leapt in my legs looked at me in the eyes. We stared at each other for seconds until it leapt again. Then this day, i saw a locust in my things, it was already dead, ants fed on it. Please what is the meaning of this? Someone help. Thank you

I sense it might mean that that you lost an important opportunity by not listening to your gut instinct in taking a leap of faith. Next time when you encounter an opportunity you feel your heart is calling onto you, make sure to take the chance to take it this time.

  8. Aloha. This risin I awoke and began cleaning my car only to find a dead grasshopper in the back seat. I was curious what it meant? I have been going through a lot of inner transformation and I feel as though I’m back on my path. My friend suggested it might be the grasshopper transferring it’s energy to me to give me strength and it’s attributes so I’m looking at the positive spin as I don’t think death really separates us and images and energy’s are all still relevant as they are but just curious what other people thought
